So annoying when this happens! I've been there myself, wrecked my bumper and headlight. Then it put my insurance up even though I didn't claim!

    Bye Bye Audi .....

haha so true! It's noisey, it's brash, loud and proud.... But it's fun!!! I nick my mums golf diesel when I need to be sensible. The rest of the time it's using the road bike, then drive this for fun. End of the day we all drive cars as enthusiasts, and this is a different path my trying for a...

    Bye Bye Audi .....

It's a classic Subaru Impreza WRX Turbo 2000, standard hitting 220BHP, 4WD and awesome noise. I went for an older car as I was fed up with the damage my Audi got, if this gets dented in a car park I can shrug it off. Fed up of caring too much about my wing mirror getting knocked off. The black...

    Bye Bye Audi .....

Well, it was time to say good bye to my Audi. Sold my A3 2.0 TDI after all the problems I've had with it, and now that I'm doing no where near the mileage I was, I invested in a weekend toy.... I'm a bit sad to leave the German car market, but this will be a bit of fun for a while. No doubt...

    What else could go wrong.....

Thanks NHN, I'll have a check once I'm out of work (again), hopefully this overtime helps pay for the flywheel, it's booked in for Wednesday. Is the matrix accesable without taking half the dash out? It was a job and a half in my old MK3 Golf Edit : Found a guide for heater matrix replacement...

    What else could go wrong.....

I can understand what everyone is saying about having the car now repaired why sell it, but in this post more issues have been mentioned that could go wrong. Whilst all this work has been mostly paid for it still inconveniences me and it wasn't easy, took me a month to get my turbo paid for, and...

You know when the car just keeps breaking, I'm wondering what else will go wrong next....

    What else could go wrong.....

So far I've only paid out £170 for the turbo, dealer paid for all bar the radiator and the warranty company paid for that. I'm just fed up of putting the car in the garage all the time :-(

    What else could go wrong.....

haha I do indeed!! 14 hours at work is starting to take it's toll, likely to be here another 10 too. Think of the money... think of the money....

    What else could go wrong.....

Well, it's now been confirmed that my 2.0 TDI needs a flywheel, starter motor and the head gasket is also gone. Whoop de doo!! Since owning the car from August 2012 the car has had a new inlet manifold flap, 4 spark plugs, a new turbo and a new radiator, now a flywheel, which seems to of taken...

A3 2.0 tdi wobbles on tickover

If it is the PD engine you might find a flywheel the cause of your problems. I'm no expert but after researching the issue this could be the problem... if you bought from a dealer get the car back ASAP as it's not cheap depending on gearbox.

Bonnet gap - Is this normal?

I've got a similar sized gap, I had to fit a new bonnet catch recently so might try playing with that but I think it's fairly standard

    Stupid Cow !

It's annoying that's for sure! My mum borrowed my car a few years back, first day and she took a chunk out of my brand new alloys I'd just bought. £100 to refurb 1 wheel as they were diamond cut edge. Feel for you

Data Bus Gateway / Steering Control Module

Will do, got something else to investigate first, an occasional rattle at idle, I'm thinking heatshield as it sounds it's coming from behind the engine, and I've a puff of smoke coming out the oil cap when released, so going to have it tested for head gasket. Then two front tyres and MOT, not to...

Data Bus Gateway / Steering Control Module

It's not my VCDS but yes it was genuine. The part number quoted was what I was told my steering control module was - although after searching a bit a can tell it's not but wanted to throw the question out there. Want to stress that I'm not an idiot and have used the search function on here and...

Data Bus Gateway / Steering Control Module

Apparently it was my steering wheel control module! Although I've been looking for last few hours and it's nothing to do with it I don't think, it's what was in VCDS when trying to code in the MFSW. It was a friend using the program, I wasn't paying too much attention as was changing my alarm...

    Audi A3 Values and sale

Audis are very strange cars. I'm looking at selling mine currently and any dealer caps my car around £3200 - £3700. However, going online on all the sale sites similar cars are going for £5500 - £8000 going from high mileage to low mileage cars and various spec and ages (within 1 year). I've got...
