Navigate to the Audi connect menu on the mmi
Then knock the jog wheel to the right
You put the 8 digit code in there and can add yourself as a user. Therefore you never need the code again

I concur on the 1.4. Cracking engine !
You really don’t need any thing more powerful in the UK and it hits the sweet spot between power and economy
Mines 5 years old next month. Garage said to get the cam belt done but I might just leave it another year as it’s on done 50k

I think the rotors are fantastic wheels. Look great and easy to clean. I especially love the deep dish ones on the s5 etc

I have these wheels and they ideally need a refurb after 5 years and a bit of kerbing.
Same as OP and don’t know whether to keep OEM colour and Diamond cut but have a gloss finish or stick with Matt finish
I have a back car so might just have them sprayed silver and to hell with diamond...
The guys on EvilGT (u tube) said that the interior was a big let down on the 8Y over the 8V
They also said that the door cards were rattling on their RS3 and B and O and the whole interior when you look carefully at it was obviously a cost cutting exercise over the 8V
I have a loaded 8V black...
I see what you mean now. Completely different design than the 8p
Appreciate the help and I have all the tools to do it now I do not need a 7 mm Allen key.
Cheers. Very helpful video

I think you mean to remove the calliper bracket
I just want to do a pad change. I.e. flip out the slider bolt covers and use an Allen key to undo them.
Slide the pins out and remove the pads and calliper.
On some discs you can actually remove the disc without removing the calliper bracket...
I paid 475 at an Indy for the cam belt.
Water pump didn’t need replacing as it’s run off a different belt on the 1.4 COD engine so I didn’t bother with that.

Just doing a pad change. My discs are fine.
So just the slider bolts to get the pads out and back in. Calliper bracket is staying where it is
So still 7mm hex ?

Does anyone know the Allen key size for doing a brake pad change on a 2017 1.4 TFSI COD Black Edition
I think it might be 7mm but just wanted to make sure before I whip the wheels off and find it’s something different and I don’t have one
Thanks in advance

Wow. The emissions were so much higher on paper than my 8v I thought it didn’t have COD and probably didn’t even have stop start.
Thanks for confirming

Been looking at these myself. Does anyone know if the 1.5 TFSI is cylinder on demand ? Can’t seem to find out if they are the same as the 8v
