Might also depend on if you have the tech pack or not. The smaller screen version maybe doesn’t do the splash screen.

Leave the car for 20 mins (the MMI stays awake in the background for 15-20 mins after you lock it), then unlock it when stood right by the door and get straight in and start it.
If you unlock as you approach the MMI starts to boot up quietly in the background and you’ll often not get the splash...
No on the PFL they are static with static cornering lights. They are so good you don’t miss the bending effect of Xenons.
On the FL you have the option of matrix LED, which don’t bend but obviously can project light dynamically to different parts of the road.

They are ‘all weather lights’.
They are the cornering lights and effectively fogs and shouldn’t really be left on as they will dazzle traffic at some angles when it’s not foggy.
There are rules/laws about cornering lights and the speeds they can be used at for this reason.

I’ve got an M240i having come from an RS3.
Honestly I don’t think the RS3 is worth the premium, aside from in the winter of course!
Not driven an M2 but I’d be surprised if you found the RS3 much better/worse overall, they both have pros and cons.

21s!!! I run 21’s on an A8 with 25 profile tyres, there’s no way you’ll get some to go on an RS3 and be usable!
I ran 1x 20 rim for 50 miles when I had a blow out on my RS3, it had no rubbing points lock to lock but did have a slightly larger circumference than the 3x 19s on it so if you did...
As the RS3 has no max train weight on the VIN plate it is illegal to tow with it.
Only legal use for a tow bar would be for a bike rack.

For sure some mix on site. It’s very common in the USA, less so here. All the big brand 97/99 octane options should be tankered in as pre mixed at least.

It adjusts to the fuel using the knock sensor, but this only applies to low octane fuel and having to pull timing to prevent knock, which it does instantly, no learning happens, it just pulls timing immediately when knock is detected.
As I said, when fuel is used that has a higher octane than...
You’ll only get an advantage if your engine is mapped to do so. Most road going ‘fast’ cars (RS3 inc) are mapped to take advantage up to 98RON but will run on 95 happily without knocking.
Reason there is 102 available there is the high number of track cars going to Silverstone that will be...
It’s not even just S/RS models affected.
Been a shutdown on most models for a few weeks already.
It’s mainly to do with them needing to re test every model for the upcoming changes in Tax in emissions using the ‘real world’ driving method.

I should add this was only when pulling the paddle when already in D or S - so the first initiation to M. Once in M it was fine.

I had this problem and Audi acknowledged it and said they were looking at it. That was on a 2015 PFL and over a year ago now...
