They look very similar to the standard S5 alloys if you just wanted that sort of design, there’s quite a few sets of them that come up for sale and they’d be no issue fitting them. If you just wanted a ‘similar’ style that may be an easier option, might save some money too.
If you fancied...
Congrats on the purchase looks like you’ve got a lovely RS4!
I had a similar experience with Redline - when selling my S3 - initially spoke to them on the phone they seemed really keen to offer a decent price as they ‘sold loads of hot hatches which matched my high spec’ and mentioned they...
I originally had a S5 without adaptive suspension and sports diff before I picked up another S5 late last year (had a S3 in between the two).
You can drive yourself crazy trying to find a car that’s got the perfect spec, I was looking for months before one came up and the high spec’d ones sell...
Yeah not worth skimping on full cover for just £70, one claim will pay for itself.
My Dad’s A3 warranty expired and a few weeks later his lights started playing up and not dipping, needed a whole new electrical control unit... over 3k parts and labour. Luckily I’d told him to take extended...
Yeah it’s all accurate, sometimes get a message to say location of the car has been updated too. Usually check it when the cars in the garage to see when it’s being worked on etc
Not a S4 but with my S5 the app is fine, it updated the other day and I’ve had no issues. Admittedly I don’t use it an awful lot, mainly for the peace of mind of the alarm functionality. Here’s what my Home Screen looks like.
PM me nearer the time mate, I’ll pass you the details of the guys that bought my S3 last year for cash, were great to deal with and were the best price by a long way.
Ah that’s fair enough mate just wondered if you’d considered an S4 instead, although like you say can’t get round the running...
Not tempted by getting a used low mileage S4 instead on PCP? They tend to be holding their money well due to the new ones being diesel. When I sold my S3 I couldn’t cope with a downgrade in power so ended up in a S5 :tearsofjoy: Saying that the A4 cabin will be an upgrade on a S3.
Anyway back...
Is it from a Audi main dealer? If so I’m surprised they are selling a car that’s been altered. Have you driven the car yet? If its a straight through exhaust that most likely means non-resonated and they can be quite droney.
Most likely scenario is someone’s cut the tips off the original...
Try to heat the clips up with a hairdryer to make them more pliable, you’ll end up snapping a few no matter how careful you are, I think I broke 3 and I was really careful.
Doesn’t matter especially though it’s still rock solid as it’s secured by 2 screws either side.
Very interesting, shame you have to have the RS display showing that would trigger my OCD a bit :tearsofjoy: but I’m sure there’s many that would happily put up with that to get the flashing shift lights it is a very cool feature having driven an RS3 with it before.
I’ve tried chipex before the colour match was good but it didn’t seem to stick very well, found myself reapplying to the same area every 6 months or so.
Audi will do an official paint touch up kit, which isn’t very expensive (about £16 from memory) and seems to work well, so may be worth...
Think they’ll look good, only thing that puts me off is having to dismantle the steering wheel and take the airbag out etc to fit them. It’s not something I’d attempt myself and by the time I’d have paid someone to do it, it’s an expensive job.
Yeah I prefer the matte ones overall, only downside is that although the colour match is close to the original paddle shifters it’s not quite perfect so you can still tell it’s a stick on extension. I’d say gloss ones feel nicer to use, just stand out a bit more all personal preference.
I’ve...
So they finally arrived today (a month after ordering), really happy with both sets but I think I’m keeping the matte ones. Gloss does look really good too. Here are some photos, I’ll list in the classifieds later on too. Only downside is I got charged customs and import fees
Still aren’t here! Coming via Swiss Post and apparently from what I’ve read online it takes ages, they left America on the 12th Jan according to the tracking but still haven’t turned up in the UK. Wish I’d chosen the faster shipping option now, but standard was expensive enough :tearsofjoy...
Yeah monthly costs are expensive mines showing as £14.50 for Audi Connect and Remote Services as £4 a month, with my Audi connect due to expire in Sept I’m undecided what I’ll do.
