Spent last Sunday evening removing the original tailgate spoiler. Used my heat gun and some trim removal tools to remove 12 years worth of adhesive and sealant! Which resulted in me getting impatient and just ripping it off, snapping it in half ‍♂️ It was then a race against the dying...

Then decided to bring the MMI up to date by installing an Android Auto box, which I've been really impressed with! All hidden away, connects to my phone wirelessly and still retains the steering wheel controls and reverse camera etc. Amazing value mod!

Finished off the rear debadge and added black Audi rings (the first set I bought were from a later model and too big) But for me, the chrome tailpipes now stood out like a sore thumb, so went for some black tips

I then cleaned up the rear by debadging the 'TDI Quattro's and 'A4' badges. Followed by some metal pressed number plates with the correct spacing as well as a gloss black rear lower bumper section: Which I then had to follow up by replacing my satin black front grille to a Genuine gloss...

Then came the carbon... Replaced the piano black trims on the dash, all 4 door cards and the centre console trim for the genuine carbon fibre pieces which were an option from factory:

First thing I did was replace the MMI knobs, wheels caps and wheel nut caps which were all letting the car down Then also added a few cosmetic touches. Audi R8 oil & coolant caps and genuine Audi aluminium fuel cap:

Regarding the water temp gauge on the dash, just a query.. just bought another S3 8L. My old S3 warmed up very quickly, and the needle would soon stop at 90 degrees and stay there. My new one barely gets above 30-60. Even in the space of half an hour or so will never get to 90. Is it just a...

Little update, car is currently at Jabba Sport, where they are fitting a decat, deshrouding the injectors, reparing the sump and sending the head off to be reconditioned with new valve guides, and finally porting! Looking forward to getting it back, hopefully mid next week with a dyno printout...

Thanks matey! Just what I'm going for :) it's made a big difference, definitely worth doing, especially as all those pipes and valves are over 10 years old!

Fitted the catch can today! What a difference! So much gunk, split pipes and valves removed! Fits reallly snug under the strut brace in the place of the relay box (relocated behind the air filter) I decided to vent to the atmosphere instead of back into the TIP so I capped off the TIP...

Thanks mate! Unfortunately not, I have to plan every route around speedbumps as it is..but I can't avoid them all. It scrapes the exhaust already, and the new 3" will hang slightly lower so I just can't!

Got my new tyres on which have a larger profile and are wider. Suits the car so much better now! Also got my carbon hydro dipped badges on: Going to fit my GReddy catch can tues or weds too so pics to come
