Been out today and had a fool in a civic trye R sitting on my bumper, planted my foot in fourth and as it started to pull i felt the cluch slip, slowed down and did it again........... defo slippage!!!!!:sadlike:

ok, how does this sound................ 265-35-18 rear and 225-40-18 front??
thinking if i go for the same rear size as yourself (as she wheels are the same width) and go slightly smaller on the front as they are 8 wide rather than 9.

I own a 2001 S3 and am in the process of buying a set of staggered BBS challenges. The fronts are 18 x 8 and the rears 18x9.

Yeah, think its a couple of hour job. i think you need some specialist tools to do the job yourself, dont quote me but im sure ive seen some ads for haldex removal tools somewhere.:uhm:

Just thought id add a last post to give the final outcome(sorry for the delay :blush:) In the end ive had the the haldex oil and filter changed and luckily its sorted the problem completely.
I no longer have any noise off the back at all and its feels much better...
