I’ve got a 2010 2.0T s Line special edition with sports suspension (211bhp). All I’ll say is watch out for the oil consumption issue. My car had this when I bought it (was oblivious to the issue prior to buying)
Fortunately Audi UK fixed the issue FOC but others haven’t been so lucky
FIXED!!! AA came out and it was a bad connection on the + battery terminal under the bonnet. Was corroded, once all cleaned down car started multiple times with no issues. Fingers crossed that’s the end of it
Cars in the garage now, if he can’t fix it I’ll give auto electrician a ring, used him before. Just hope someone can get to the bottom of it, missing my car :(
I’m having exactly the same issue my A4, won’t start just clicks however will start with jump leads. At the end of my tether with it, doesn’t help I’m useless with cars
UPDATE
Jump pack wouldn’t start it, mate an a set of good old fashioned jump leads and it started! Multimeter shows battery at 14V and when giving car throttle it goes up a little but not much.
Took car out for a good 30 mile run, stopped outside if house and it wouldn’t start again.
So...
I can’t confirm if the battery was coded or not, however my local garage is very good, took my cars there for years and never had an issue. I’d check but he’s on holiday.
As for multimeter my mate is hopefully coming round today to “jump” the car an test with his multimeter it’s not the alternator
Yeah thought that but I was at work and the missus doesn’t drive :( I’m gonna try an start it later today an take for a good drive an see how we go. If that fails I’ll put it on charge for a good 12 hours or so.
As for battery age, it was fitted April 18 so needless to say I’m not impressed...
Cheers guys, I’ve got the Carista app so can clear any codes that may pop up. I’m praying it’s just the battery an not the alternator as that won’t be a cheap fix!
Car was jump started last night while I was at work (car was at home) it started an ran for about 20 minutes. I came in off...
Ok so I ran a scan tonight and got the following code under engine 05646, I reset it (maybe I shouldn’t have?)
Below is a screenshot of the ecu afterwards
ECU info obtained with Carista 383099 for iOS:

Component: GW-BEM 5CAN...
So driving into work this morning and the engine stuttered/juddered and the engine management light was flashing.
I’ve had this issue a few years ago and turned out to be a faulty coil pack, so hoping if it doesn’t sort itself out it’s the same again as it’s a relatively easy and cheap fix...
To be fair it’s £60 or thereabouts so that’s a lot of beer tokens! Maybe I’ll pass, I’m not into modding but saw them on a car at work an thought they looked cool. Maybe one day, maybe not
Saw these on eBay and wondered if anyone has tried them? Saw them on car the other night (in blue) and thought they looked really good. Thoughts anyone?
