on the 1.8 T quattro is it a cambelt or chain? at what mileage should i change it? its on 82k at the mo also what bits do i need? :icon_thumright:

got my stereo to power up now after replacing the fuse but its in 'safe mode' now i dont have the code for it as the previous owner hasn't supplied me with it! :mad: how can i get it? i need it sorted before 2mora night as i've got a long drive up to northumberland

whilst looking through some threads about the dodgey oil pump/strainer i noticed few people av said that th 1.8t has a dodgey water pump as well n they can give up around 80k that correct? should i be changing this as well? as mine is on 82k now
