Revo Stage 2 - Dyno Results?

Andy, have you picked the phone up and spoken to VHub? They know what they're doing and will most certainly have set your car up correctly, if not they'll definitely be able to rectify that. One of our guys is making them aware of this thread, so I'm sure they'll be in contact with you asap...

Revo Now available for SQ5 Petrol & Diesel versions!

Ah, you looking way too in-depth at it and not accounting for the fact we're under quoting the flywheel figures based on what we saw! Stock to stock we only saw around 20hp difference between the two though. You're completely right about never being able to account for what a customer will do...

Revo Now available for SQ5 Petrol & Diesel versions!

Karl, the graphs are ATWs measure on our Dynopack hub dyno. The quoted numbers are a Flywheel indication. Doesn't look as though our marketing team have labelled the graphs as such though, apologies for the confusion! Transmission is less of an issue than EGTs, which it seems we're one of very...

    Remap?

There's a lot of chat here and very little helpful advice; you'll find the tuning market saturated with companies that are desperate to make a name for themselves and do so by belittling competitors. It's very possible that the software installed on your car is perfectly acceptable, the fuel...

    No more Revo

We have been cleaning up our dealer network to make sure we have only the best dealers out there, which means certain people that are no longer dealers might be spreading miss-truths. Have a look at: Performance360 | VAG Performance Specialists the guys there will be able to help you out. As...

Revo remap trial - whats your views?

Sorry guys, I need to clarify some things here... The trial map is NOT the same as you get when you buy Revo. It's a detuned version running around 80% of full software so that it can revert to stock maps. Trial software was designed to allow people that have never experienced ECU tuning to...

Taking one for the team: Revo Stage 1 Case Study on S3 8P3 (MY2012)

That's really upsetting to read, all of the dealers go through training and receive Revo documentation (dealer manual, product data-sheets, set-up guides) of which all of the emphasis is on vehicle setup. Dealers that do not set up vehicles are in my eyes f****** useless and I would advise our...

Taking one for the team: Revo Stage 1 Case Study on S3 8P3 (MY2012)

Just a quick note on defaults... ...There isn't a default setting for any car to be left in, there is a default setting after the flash completes and a basic setting on the SPS but these are not settings that we recommend any dealers sends cars out in. ALL cars should be logged and set-up prior...

    Revo Stage 2 Question

You can run a FMIC and/or watermeth. Water on it's own isn't going to do that much, and being realistic water/meth isn't a fit and forget as you have to make sure you always have the correct mixture for your setup otherwise you'll end up damaging something!

Revo remaped ecu in to my a3 1.8 agu

You're relatively lucky as with the later ECU's Revo maps are linked to the VIN in the car, so you can't swap ECU's around... when you do and the ECU is coded to the car you lose any Revo code. On the M5 ECU they can be swapped, however I'd imagine it's coded to 'Stock' and the software needs to...

    Revo trial

Hi guys, just to set the record straight... trial software was originally designed to give owners of applicable cars a taster of 'tuning' in an effort to expand the potential market, aimed at those that had absolutely no idea that their cars could be improved upon. Trial was never...

    A6 2.7 Bi Turbo 1999

No problem Chris, I'd take a guess that you'll need to have the throttle body boot replacing. This is located at the front of the engine bay underneath the divertor valves, they have a tendancy to split on the underside (out of sight!)... it's highly likely this is where the leak is...

    A6 2.7 Bi Turbo 1999

Hi Chris, don't take this the wrong way, but being as it's a nearly ten year old car my advise would be to make sure everything is 100%. The 2.7T engine is great when working well, but there are a few typical problems that they suffer from. I'm sure a search will tell you, but double check...

    Replacement Turbo S3

So you're all aware Chipped UK are not a Revo dealer and do not have access to any legitimate Revo software. There are many companies that 'claim' to have Revo software, it's very unlikely that what they tried on your car was anything to do with Revo.

    Just REVO`d

Hey Guys, sorry I've been away this week! There is no be all end all setting for optimum performance all year round for all weathers. The optimum settings would differ depending on the fuel quality and conditions, for example: on a hot day you'd want to run slightly less than on a really cool...

Well done to the boys at REVO!

They're both great to drive! If you look at the dyno graphs though you'll see that the cars both made more than the standard quoted figures from the factory. The engines themselves aren't really any difficulty to tune, it's the development involved with the new ECU types that run them that...

    got my s3 dyno'd today.

I've not seen very good results from the carbonio either, the EVOMs setup seems to be very good. We're currently talking to ITG so hopefully there'll be something available from them soon. One of the issues we've seen on some setups is the A/F ratios as the MAF housing is ovalised on the stock...

    got my s3 dyno'd today.

Sorry Paul, I hadn't responded to your post... There is no default setting is the long and short of it. We recommend defaults depending on the fuel quality but we always try to get dealers to monitor the cars and set them up to suit. The Select switch performance default value can actually be...

    got my s3 dyno'd today.

Yes and no... the stock car is running a much lower boost level, as such it doesn't create as much heat. With the higher boost levels the car is much more prone to heatsoak and the protection systems will have a bigger effect. On a standard car with inadequate cooling you can get away without...
