Hi Lippo,
Just checked and my ECU is now 0004 (was 0008 after audi update) and TCU is now 1009.
It says in the app there is a tcu update to 1015 which is the one it was rolled back from after audi did the update.
Hope this helps!
Hmm that's odd. I remember also trying a torx bit on a long semi flexible extension on the end of a screw driver. Maybe that got it loose. I can't remember exactly as I threw so many tools at that thing. With the flexible extension I came in from the front, slightly bending the extension around...
Yep...that one caused me the most trouble too. I think I came in from top down with a torx bit on a small ratchet extension (to get just past the bulk of the stuff in the way), with the ratchet then coming straight up vertically, . I remember having to push some kind of hose out of the way of...
I did mine last week without really having the symptoms. Just over 100k miles and it was all pretty clogged up so clean as many of the parts as you can get to. Its a very messy job but cleans up easy enough with carb cleaner, toothbrush and flathead screwdriver etc. The car definitely responds...
I used a few different tools all just using a torx bit. Mainly a small ratchet with torx bit, plus sometimes little extensions to reach some bolts. One or two I used a straight screwdriver with torx bit. Not sure which bolt you mean exactly, but lastly I removed the two bolts holding the EGR...
.What a pig of a job that was, very messy and awkward but what a difference it has just made. Removed and cleaned, kept butterfly valve in place and car feels much happier. Feels much smoother through the range, quieter and feels quicker at low RPM. Some may be placebo but definitely feels like...
Hi mate only just seen this but I had the rollback performed and its great again. If you check out my post that linked by thechenga above and you'll find some details and info about the process. I can send you the name/link to the company/guy that performed it and only cost I think £99 for...
I've recently got the Auto Finesse MPX to replace a cheap Argos DA I had which would vibrate too much for long sessions it wasn't comfortable to use. The Auto Finesse is a great little DA and comes with 5" and 3" backing plates so great for large and smaller panel sections. I'm also tempted to...
Hi I believe engine software was 0008 then rolled back to 0004. The gearbox was 1015 and rolled back but unsure of the number from my head. I can pop into he car alter and check if needed. Ps I'm sure I bought the Soundbooster from you via ebay going by your username
I used code FIVEPERCENT to save 5% the other day on some coilovers. Didn't know about the code, just one of those Honey browser extensions found it and it worked.
I'm not sure but I wont be going the the dealers for anything except major services with this car going forwards. Car is out of warranty now. anyway. I thought TD1 was flagged from more having ecu remaps etc. This is just putting the software versions it was on previously. At least now in...
For anyone needing this in the future, I got this emission fix rollback done yesterday by a chap called VAG Tune found through social media.
Car is instantly back to performing how it was from the factory. None of this post emissions scandal bodge job software update crap they've been rolling...

Can anyone recommend or know of a business or individual who can roll-back the ECU & TCU software versions for my A6 C7 BITDI? Car was in at Audi a few months ago and whilst their they did the emissions recall which included ECU & TCU software updates. Instantly after the recall...
