So have had the car for a couple of weeks as a loaner (latest model) as my RS has been off the road having been hit whilst parked (get yourself a dashcam that works when the car isn't occupied - saved me ££££).
I'm impressed, nudging 30mpg, decent effortless performance, quiet , great cabin...

If you have a new car on order it might be worth seeing if there is a built vehicle in stock somewhere that suits your requirements.
https://www.active-sound.eu/de/audi/audi-q3/audi-q3-f3/audi-rs-q3-f3-active-valve-control-klappensteuerung - maybe a Black Friday thing, I've bitten the bullet of course :icon thumright:
So my Samsung Galaxy S10 was delivered yesterday - incrementally better than the otherwise faultless 2 year old S8 it replaced.
The old dog of Android Auto seems a bit more polished on Android 9 Pie than it was on Android 8, pop up messages seem to appear as rather more legible white text on a...
With apologies to those that also follow the RS246 forum. I had a four wheel chassis alignment check in the week and then adjusted to factory spec, the initial report is in the image above.
Why get it done? My previous RSQ3 wore the inner edges of the rear tyres out (expensive), getting that...
:anguished: So the red beast is sat in the garage, clean and looking good. The black tail pipe trims are shiny on the outside (metal polish - Brasso...about a month ago) but the insides are looking grubby....some engine oil on a cloth coating the inner surfaces looks much better. I don't...
So just completed the 2019 map update - all good.
Poking through the menus and came across the 'Personal Route Assist' feature which would be really useful, so from this screen:
I then get this screen:
So I select the 'switch on personal route assist' and the system goes back to the 1st...
Tuesday of this week saw the first month/1000 miles of the RS4 in my hands.
It is, in Audi's best RS tradition a fabulous mile-eating road car, effortless, refined and quiet with the Jekyll & Hyde personality the many of it's predecessors have also possessed. So the flip-side being that it's...
So having a slightly less wild schedule this week I find myself browsing the YouTube, checking out the RS4 reviews, comparing performance figures and now I have a question....
There are at least two YouTube web reviews that suggest that the 0-60 sprint is demolished in 3.2-3.7 secs (Car Wow and...
Have been out in the garage in the evenings polishing the wheels of the RS and I've noticed that the front brake discs (steel) have negligible wear (this car is ex Audi UK p=Press with 6,000 undoubtedly hard miles on it), the disc rotors however are almost mirror polished with almost no wear lip...
So one week into B9 RS4 ownership and a few miles under the wheels the vehicle is growing on me - I can admit now that I seriously toyed with trying to undo the deal and get the previous RSQ3 back, missing the drama of the thing whilst not embracing the enormous capability of it's replacement...
Had the RS4 a week...still learning..
So have my Galaxy S8 connected via Bluetooth and listening to Spotify - how do I advance to the next track without picking up the phone handset?
On the previous RSQ3 I could use the head-unit controls for this, it isn't so obvious in the B9.
With 4 months gone and 10,000 miles haved rolled under the wheels I guess its time for a little update on progress.
Overall the A3 is the best Audi I've owned (company or privately) - better than the previous model A3 1.8 Sport and an A3 1.8T Quattro and of course the A4 Cabrio for both long...
Responding to the call to give my 8p a wash this afternoon I came across as persistent black mark in between the 2 and the 0 of the rear model designation badge....the mark was the sticky pad that had once held the chrome decimal point on.
I wondering now about removing all of the badge as the...
Yes it is true - just got back from Stealth Racing @ Southam having had my TDi remapped on the rollers. The plots are beside me now - I don't have a scanner any more so I'll try with the digi camera later
Stock it made 164.2 BHP, not at all bad for TDi140 - I didn't make a note of the stock...
One for the soot chuckers amongst us - I notice when buying the smelly stuff that BP (Esso too I think) offer an apparenty higher grade diesel fuel.
Has anyone tried it? Does it make any difference? is it worth the extra 5p a litre?
Having a Sportback without the rear spoiler I'm curious to know if the roof spoiler serves to keep the rear window clear of road spray?
Does it?
Thoughts appreciated
Monday sees a visit to AmD for a remap thanks to 'MarcTwo' and his group buy earlier in the year.
Right now the TDi seems plenty quick enough, with traction already an issue (hence the ESP thread).
However for the price it seemed too good to miss and I'm sure I'll appreciate it when the roads...
From Fleet News today:
"Ultimate Altea
1 December 2005
SEAT has taken the wraps off its sporty Altea FR prior to it going on sale in the UK in March.
The FR (for Formula Racing) is powered by a 2.0-litre, 167bhp TDI turbodiesel engine. The FR is differentiated by a restyled front bumper...
The Bosch based ESP function includes Traction Control.
I have had cars for several years that have had ESP and it has always felt like the Traction Control(TC) side of things cut in a bit early with the light flashing away with no real provocation.
On the 2.0TDi it seems the other way around...
