Hi guys
Does it make a difference on a quattro car if the front and rear tyres are different brands?
Secondly, is it bad if the rear tyres have less tread depth than the front tyres or vice versa?
Thanks
Hey guys,
I'll be the first to admit that I'm pretty much a doofus when it comes to technical things so I hope you can help me out.
My '97 A4 tdi quattro (110bhp) has 70k on the clock and gets about 44-48mpg.
I know that the A4 is quite a heavy car but should the economy be better than this...
Is it quite easy to reset the flashing service sign that comes up on the dashboard?
If so can someone tell me how to do it as the garage who have just serviced my car didn't bother. Ta
I've noticed that the clutch on my used audi engages quite high up. In my other cars this usually meant it was worn.
When I spoke to the independent dealer I bought it from he said most audis were like. He has an A6 and stated it was the same with him.
Is he telling porkies or being truthful...
I've just bought a 1.9tdi quattro which is wearing Goodyear NCT5s (205/55/15 v) on which I reckon are 'ok'.
I was wondering if you guys would help me out and share your opinions on the tyres you use/prefer on your A4s (preferably tdi quattro saloons)
Cheers
