I contacted the SRTCan makers and they confirmed that the activation of ADS on audi a3 8v not working. Finally the only option for A3 8V is the official activation by the dealer.
I have found some update about SRT CAN connect.
The cable is a simple cable EL327 USB / RS232. In the specifications is required to read and write both of OBD2 CAN-BUS protocol. To use this cable have to purchase credits and therefore you can connect to their server to perform the coding...
I've found something interesting on a Russian site auto-retrofit.ru that socalled SRT Can Connect would be able to activate the Drive Select on audi a3 8v. I've already sent several emails to the seller but I still haven't received an answer.
There is a chance to coding the drive select on a3 8v with vcds? I found on motor-talk.de that it lacks a file on gateway in order to be activated. This file is probably written during the official activation process.
I said that the gear knob should not be removed. The console must be removed in order to have access to old plastic rings.
In this previous post from Nathing32 It is well explained how to proceed.
@ming6068 The problem for the inner door handle light is that it must remain illuminated when the door is closed which is the opposite to puddle & warning lights. Thus wiring from the windows switch ground is not a good option.
Finally i get the rear doors wired.
+12V supply from power window wiring red-yellow and ground from door latch wiring brown-yellow
coding is not required the result is the same as the front doors
The light goes off when the door is closed.
I think I am wrong, a controller module will probably anyway located in the rear door but I think that It is not easy to access. Someone knows where it is located ?
I confirm what taddy_izumi in a previous post said that on A3 V8 MY 2015 the controller does not exist in a rear door. Here is a 10-pin connector which has 3 unused pins in upper side and 1 unused pin down (see pictures ).
I suppose that the 2 of the 4 free pins will be used for the puddle...
Thanks. An option to control Exterior Lighting Menu exists within the MMI and could be possible that a rear menu sub option can be activated through the vcds coding.
I'll try to find something in this direction.
I want to fill with a few pictures taken during the removal of console.
On these pictures can be seen 2 of 3 connectors which are to be unplugged.
The 3rd is not visible in the picture It is located on the other side of the bracket.
