Are the red stuff pads worth it? They are obviously significantly more expensive most other pads.

Thanks for the response. I've been looking at Brembo too tbh, mainly because ECP have a sale on and I can get Brembo discs and pads all round for £286! However in that sale Pagid / Mintex / Brembo / ATE / Bosch are pretty much an identical price, so the question is out of those manufacturers...

I was only going to put a holder on the rear, as I was concerned the one on the front would protrude too much since there is already a recess in the front for the plate, but it looks ok. Am I right in thinking the holder sits within that recess?

I'm looking at getting some new number plates for the car (existing ones are pretty scruffy). Whats peoples thoughts on 3D Gel vs Pressed Metal? Also don't really want to screw into new plates, so looking at a holder for the rear and most likely sticky pads for the front. Anyone bought /...

Sorry to dig up an old thread. Just wondered what the lifespan of these plates is? Love the look of them but how long before they look scruffy and need replacing?

Thanks for the response mate, I've heard that too. Just mine seems to have another rattle. I've had mixed responses from that's normal to a sticking cam valve to failing cat.

Someone has suggested there is a chain connecting the cams together at the rear, is this correct?

Hi all, I have a 2012 A4 2.0 TFSI and have recently noticed a rattle / ticking noise coming from the engine as located in the below image. I'm not sure if the noise was there previously and unnoticed or if it is a new sound. Anyone with a 2.0 TFSI who can confirm if they have this noise too...
