8P probably just that bit too old for them to develop i guess ... 8V looks possible, i also have the kit on my F3 RSQ3. It finishes off my Sportback nicely, not too "Max Power" in your face body kits if that makes sense.
Recently sold my 8U RSQ3 and have a full set of EBC REDSTUFFS front pads for sale. These are brand new in box and never fitted.
Currently retailing at over £200 at the moment but looking for £175 inclusive of shipping.
Cheers
I just bought one of these to clear an emissions light... Worked brilliant and very easy to use.
You dont need to buy credits for fault code clearing.
Download app to your phone , scan car for 5mins, clear errors. Job done.
Have you just bought the car or had it a while?
By 2013 the engines were sorted I believe...so doubt its the issues raised in this thread.
The pistons/conrods issue resulted in 1ltr of oil per 621 miles... Your getting double this.
Ring or visit another dealer if you don't want to pester the same one. You need to find out before parting with your hard earned fella, trust me having weight of a potential £5k repair bill is not good. Any dealer should be able to print off the service history.
If the work was carried out by Audi, it should be on their system. The technician should be able to see this. Walk away from this and get a 2012 plate for piece of mind. I had a B8 My 11 plate with this engine. It was drinking a litre of oil every 600miles at 33k, so no where near the...
PCP has always intrigued me, especially paying off the loan early but how does all this work against your credit history etc... Maybe applying for multiple finance products within short space of time?
Say you buy into Audi PCP financial services to get the dealer contribution and loan £40k...
Ride it out with the insurance fella and go with them for an approved repair... Do you really want a naff repair on your £60k motor and paint is not upto scratch etc...
You've also notified the insurance company so it's on record regardless of whether you back out of their help or not. You...
Unless you can prove the piston works have been carried out by Audi, you should walk away. I had the 2.0 B8 on MY11 plate... Was drinking a ltr of oil under 600 miles before the work was done. AUDI only accepted full dealer history to carry out the work at a cost of approx £5k.
Watched Joe Achilles review... Noggy blue and interior upgrades with contrast blue stitching and seats looked great. Should have been in from the start... :unamused:
Must be a design flaw with the vents surely... Gutting in this chuffing weather we're having.
Deffo not the 5pot taking time to warm through... I've the same in RSQ3... 4mins after startup, hot air blowing nicely and *** warmers kicked in. 7mins in and fully upto 90deg running temp this...
Get the the gearbox and haldex done at the same time, especially if both have never been done... You've been lucky you had no issues!
The haldex ideally needs to have the pump pulled and filter gauze cleaned (mine is gen4 on My14 plate Q3) as this can clog up badly and been known to write of...
Yep... new pistons, conrods etc fixed the issue straight away. Probably a thimble top up of oil over next 10k miles driven which is what you should expect! Sadly Using different oil will not help mate, the engine was badly designed full stop. Audi should have done a recall, but refused to...
You would think these engines of thar era would all be confined to the scrappers by now, but still some unfortunate punters are getting lumbered with these duds! I had a A4 B8 2.0 on MY11 a few years back. Car was drinking about 1ltr every 500miles so classic chocolate piston issue. The...
Followed the build spreadsheet thread since day one and watched some bask in joy at finally getting in their cars to those in pain at being over a year into order and still not been notified a single bolt has been fitted... Gutting for you all.
Audi are jokers... Cancelling orders, announcing...
The push catch was what went on mine... I had to run a credit card around the filler cap sometimes for it to eject... Crap idea and should have been replaced in newer models ages ago!
Get it in as soon as possible as you're under warranty no doubt.
Keep your tank full just in case... as its a scary experience desperate for fuel and can't get the cap open! You would think they would have changed the design by now but suppose its a regular little earner for them over...
Not sure in the mechanics of the 8Y but "push eject" Audi filler caps are/were notorious for actuators failing. Had mine done last year sometime... Even now I sometimes have to run a credit card around an edge for the door to spring open... Garbage
