I just press the Start/Stop button. This stops the engine, puts the parking brake on and shifts to P all in one go. In fact, I never press the P button or the parking brake manually - there's no need.

Yeah the sat nav in this new A4 is pants. Mine keeps telling me to turn left but the map on the screen clearly shows a right turn. This also happens the other way around. I find it very time consuming to enter the destination so I usually just use my phone as it's 10 times quicker and also...

I think they were Pirelli tyres. The A4 has Hankook.

Diesel. My A3 was definitely quieter than my new A4.

Don't think mine is very quiet. I get a lot of road noise on the motorway - so much that I thought the door wasn't shut properly.

I don't mind them being there but I wish it had a cover of some sort so I could use it as storage. Couldn't give a toss about the LED light.

Personally, I hate cup holders and never ever use them. I would much rather have a storage compartment with a cover.

One of my colleagues just got his XE delivered yesterday - it looks quite dated compared to my A4. Cheap interior too.

Mine reset again yesterday. Really annoying as I was trying to keep track of my total journeys this week. There's no way I'm resetting it by accident - the button is on the dash board on the left hand side of the steering wheel.

We all had to "learn" how to drive a manual in the first place. Driving a S-Tronic is a little different to a manual or an automatic but it has advantages and disadvantages. Don't worry about what gear it's in....just stick in D and have fun!

Don't worry you'll be fine on your drive. The electric parking brake releases when you pull away.

If I had been given the correct answer to my original question, I would not have paid for the full Hold Assist.

It's standard on the A4 B9. Read the manual.

Unfortunately, some of the answers to my original question above are incorrect. I took delivery of my car a couple of weeks ago and according to the owners manual it DOES have the basic hold assist as standard. The full Hill Hold Assist has the extra button to enable or disable and it holds...
