Not e2e but didn't see anything specific to my situ. The A6 section query I've posted seems to suggest the position I've said above. If true then maybe ok. I own a b7 with ea113 so I'm going to see the a6 later today so can visually looking. My understanding is it will be the same engine...

Agree engine issue. Latest I've uncovered,partly through A6 section in here, is that the A6s used the EA113 engine and not EA888. It's the EA888 with high consumption is what I'm reading. Would that be your understanding ? Asking the question as I'm making an assumption you know a bit...

From my understanding then .... - BJP and BYK are EA113. - EA113 doesn’t suffer the extreme oil consumption issue. Is my summary correct ? If so I believe this car for this issue at least should be clear of it?

So is the EA133 and EA888 oil consuming? Can I get picture and confirm do you think? Seller says the oil consumption is on chain driven and not on belt driven. He says his car Is belt driven Is this what you mean? Only looking at manuals

This is a slightly different debate. But for completeness 2.0t go for around £8- 9k where as 3t are £11k +these will tend to be older too so I couldn’t justify that money. I’d like to understand view in oil consumption issue on 2.0t as that’s more my focus,
