All depends on the annual mileage you're likely to be doing...low miles, petrol is a no brainer and modern turbo petrols are equally responsive to diesels. I've come from what feels like a lifetime of diesels and petrol is much smoother & quieter in comparison and much more fun !!

Mine's being doing the same for a few weeks now, just not had time to book it in. I think the root cause is an MMI software issue as the sound settings reset themselves randomly, as does the sat nav voice volume and now the screen will just disappear into the dash while I'm driving and reset...

Will let you know how I get on bud. You do know there's a 'your audi' and a 'my audi' login...I think your Audi is just car data, servicing and links to the annoying new build tracker (!!) and the stuff you mentioned but my Audi has the Audi connect stuff. Google will find both, see if that helps

@GSB - Is it worth me resetting the MMI and putting in the Audi connect PIN again to link the car to the account? On your screenshots Is the online map update the one after 'flight info'? Thanks

Same issue here with not having online updates through Audi Connect...Several other things are active (twitter, special destinations, on-line traffic etc..) but no online updates. Stayed old fashioned so didn't spec VC and tech pack advanced, would this be why?

Can recommend the roofbox co as well...my pref is for the Atera brand and they're the only place I've found that sells them. Thule wingbars are top class as well

Same here on the abuse of French cameras, although they're set with a very small margin of excess speed. Managed to trigger 6 on the drive from St Jean de Monts to Paris to Calais last year...lol. Maybe Brexit might reverse these sort of Euro laws

It really is personal preference as has been said...I've gone for black with chrome and the shiny roof rails, definitely breaks it up nicely and you don't see that many around

DrMal, the dealer will be able to check via your chassis number and see it should have them. Audi Peterborough did for mine which was built late Sept probably around the same time as yours give or take a few weeks?

Kerbed one of mine after a couple of weeks and took it to The Wheel Specialist...think they have franchises all over the country. Did a great job and you'd never tell it from new wheel, cost just over £100

Thanks Gordo - I'm always using the same key and sound source (Absolute 80's on DAB most of the time!), its as if the MMI is resetting certain bits at random...some of the sat-nav options are doing the same, its a strange one
