Ain't this just DPF regen? Have you been driving short journeys and interrupting it? If it's DPF then just drive it long enough for the regen to finish and then it should go back to normal.
Ye the under voltage was showing up when the car was alerting me in the battery was low every time I started it, have not seen that low battery error since.
The battery hasn't been changed in my ownership (for 4+ years) and I'm the second owner, I doubt the first owner changed it as he only had...
I've had the unpleasant pleasure of this popping up today:
In Feb the car was parked a lot and had low battery, at the time I was thinking of replacing but after a long drive the low battery warnings disappeared and never reappeared again. However, I did do a scan at the time and got some...
For the phone holder:
I've tried all sorts in mine, started with the vent mount and the rubber bit that went inside the vent ended up melting and fusing with the plastic, so it's left a nasty stain on the vent. Would avoid.
I then bought a strong dashboard mount, was great until in the summer...
Ye the main dealer will best advise you and can quote a price too, so you can compare. If you really want to find out the part number yourself try CarProg2 https://ifinterface.com/prog/car/cp2/inprog.php - you are going to need to understand more about your car first to figure out the exact one...
I'm a bit late to the party, but would defo recommend getting the water pump changed at the same time. My B8.5 at the 5 year mark was off the mileage for the cambelt by quite a bit but the water pump started leaking slightly so had both replaced.
I knew the garage who did the work so they did...
Got my screen wash light come on for the first time so looking to buy some, was curious whether it matters which screen wash I use? I was going to give this Rain X water repellent one to see how well it works (if at all)...
Ye I have a 2014 B8.5 manual, it does judder sometimes but have just lived with it. Now on 120K. I normally notice it more when I lift the clutch but barely throttle (not always the case, sometimes it's unavoiable) or after a lot of hot driving (like stop / start city driving in the middle of...
Thanks all, will give it a go this weekend with VCDS. I had a go last weekend, inverted the start/stop functionality successfully, but when I was trying the mirror dip tweak, it detected that the module had never been coded before and was asking to fill it in with 12345/123/12345 or something...
I am wondering whether I am able to enable the mirror dip while reversing function on my B8.5, when I don't have memory seats?
My mirrors are electronic and heated but not folding.
Anyone tried it before?
Thanks, will take a look tomorrow. Have been taking the car out on a few motorway runs since the last battery warning about a month ago and have since not had any more, so just waiting to see how it goes.
Had a look on VCDS on mine, went to controller 61 and I get "No connection to module" or similar, so I imagine my B8.5 doesn't even have a battery regulation module and thus doesn't need recoding either.
Out of interest how were you guys checking the voltage in VCDS?
Thanks this actually seems like a very good lead, I am guessing the immediate cold to hot must of finally allowed them to fail.
Will try to check them over the weekend.
I had a look on CarProg2 but they didn't seem to have these brackets listed anywhere in the exhaust system? Any ideas of part...
Nice, well I actually took a picture of the underside of the car a few months ago, when I was getting the shocks replaced. Looks like those brackets are black on mine? The image is too dark for me to spot anything useful though.
Well mine will hit 90 eventually, but it's very sluggish getting there. My work is a 30+ mile trip with at least 20+ miles on the motorway. On a cold day, I can do the entire motorway run without it hitting 90, then when I get off the motorway it starts dropping down again before going up...
Mine has this problem too, I have had the supplementary heater recall done too, but can't remember if this issue started before or after that as it was a couple years ago.
Having lots of small problems crop up with my B8.5 almost every other weak now, having fixed the sticking brake caliper 2 weeks ago, I thought that was the last one, but now I have another problem.
Was driving today, cold start after 1 week of being parked. Let the car warm up for about 5...
