If it's an s-tronic it should be changed together with a new filter every 60000km (~40k miles?)
The manual option I don't now the intervals of. But rather change it for peace of mind if you dont know how old the oil is.
It sounds like it could be the ignition lock or a simple thing like an ground connection to chassis somewhere.
But, as paddy says, check the fault codes first.
I'm running 8x18 et43 rims with 225/40 tyres and they are almost flush with the fender on my 2012 S3. The S3 have the same fenders Front/back as the A3.
Et40 is just sticking out 3mm more and will be perfect flush I think!
Oh I wish there was a version of this oem product with a magnet mount for the phone!!
My oem cradle is mounted on the dash and Audi stopped designing new ones after the Iphone 6! :(
I'm running 8x18 et43 and same size tire as you on my S3. Stock suspension. No rubbing.
Pics on my instagram.
In the back I think an et35 will work with almost perfect flush fitment.
It's in the front I think they are gonna poke a bit. My et43s is almost perfectly flush up front.
Et35 will...

Facelift hood hinge left art.nr: 8P0 823 301 B

Same numbers but different versions so they SHOULD be interchangeable.
The last letter in the art.nr is...
Good question.
The insulation isn't heavy. Probably just a couple of hundred grams. So it chouldn't be about that.
And its not like its going to melt because of the temperature from the 5 cyl compared to the 4 cyl.
Could be as you say but in the end it is a decition from Audi related to cost...
Interesting as I don't have these air guides in my front inner fender shown here in red.
As I look it up there is two versions of the front inner fender.
Cars built before/after 18/9-2017 have different ones as seen in the pic below:
Then it's a cheap and great upgrade to mount both...
And here’s four pics of how how I did it. Removed them, had them sand blasted and painted them with high temp silver paint.
They still look perfect ~4 months later.
Great post, again, T-800!
It clearly says that noises shouldnt occur after the ~20 sec. warm up phase. Although Ive clearly heard light ticking on rs3s driving past me on the street :smirk:
And changing to catless downpipe enhances this sound as well.
This is the great oem tool to use for stamping sensor holes in bumpers:
http://vag-shop.co.uk/genuine-vw-tool-for-cutting-18mm-hole.html
There is also marked on the inside of the bumper where the holes should be.
But if there is a version with pre-made holes then I recommend you to go back and...
Great upload!
And as you T-800 and others already have concluded. In print on page 45/55:
"If there is no control, the wastegate valve is opened."
And thus making the cold start tick.
Speccing the new rs3 as discrete as I could was a natural thing for me. As I mentioned before got robbed of my last rs3 in misano/alu pac.
Saying that the scums won, yes maybe, but I've always loved sleepers.
I like ninjas more than pirates.
