Yes - this is EXACTLY what's happening to me. Literally just came on here to ask the same question.
Every morning it's fine, and on the way home it's TMC PRO and I've no idea if the road with the traffic flashpoint I can either go down or avoid is bad today or not.
Tried enabling CarPlay again yesterday to try out Google Maps.
Don't bother. The interface is terrible. Might work on a touch-screen, but not with a rotary controller.
And, if you've got Virtual Cockpit, it won't let you show it on there (I tend to have the main screen on a zoomed-out view and...
Love my A4, would happily stick with it, but perhaps get an Avant in order to get a more usable boot - 3 sets of golf clubs is a squeeze in the saloon.
Or a Q5. Would be nice to go back to an SUV. Depends on what I can afford of course!
I've got the 1.4 - no complaints at all with it. Would I prefer the 2.0? Sure. More power for the same fuel economy sounds great, but for me it wasn't worth the extra outlay.
I gave up with Car Play.
It seems to stop me from being able to use the MMI/VC to make calls, unless I go into CarPlay on the MMI, which is incredibly annoying as it's several presses to do that. It doesn't show album artwork, and you can't use Google Maps or Waze.
Good idea, very poorly...
Don't CarWow and co often get about that much off of the price anyway? I'm pretty sure I did.
I take the scrappage deal to mean that they just give the same discount as via CarWow because that is what they can play with in general.
I'd suggest a CarWow quote, and then see what you can get in...
I've got into the habit of pulling down on the gear selector to put it in Sport when I come up to a junction or roundabout if I don't want it to cut off.
My wife's car also has start-stop, but it's a manual gearbox and if you put the clutch in it doesn't cut off, so it's not an issue in those...
There seemed to be some evidence posted on other threads that it was now possible to tell that one had been fitted, even when removed. Whereas before, it was not possible to detect.
I have comfort. Don't notice the arch gap really any more.
It's very comfortable! And it handles well enough - I don't thrash it around though. Can't really compare it to Sport though as I've no way of doing it.
All the reviews seemed to say that Comfort was the one to get, and SWMBO...
This is mine with comfort suspension.
I won't argue about the looks - the lower stance of the standard suspension definitely looks better. But I don't even notice it now. And once you're sitting in it, you can't see it at all...
I have basically the same car, and I have no regrets about the comfort suspension.
Now I'm nearing 40 I don't drive around like a boy racer any more and I have no complaints with the handling. The ride is superb.
Welcome!
All of us 1.4 owners on here have nothing bad at all to say about the engine. It might surprise you with its poke.
The interior really is fab and was my main reason for picking the A4 over a 3 series or similar.
