I don't suppose you've enabled ADS with VCDS or Carista have you?
Note that enabling “Show suspension option in ADS menu” may cause a “Headlight range control defective” fault on cars that don’t have dynamic suspension. If that happens, deactivate the ADS suspension setting in Carista and if...
Well here I am again a few weeks later with a dead car! Battery metre is full however the car just died at random and refused to turn over. Currently at the garage. Fingers crossed they can find what the issue is and that it won't cost both kidneys!
Hi guys it must be the battery - I was mid way through taking the radio out and suddenly it sprang back into life. Then when i tried starting the car it wouldn't turn over. Got a neighbour to jump start me and all is okay again.
As you guys said the battery is probably almost dead and sped up...
Ah okay great stuff. Job for later as my trim removal tool and bolt set is at home!
Well that's the thing I don't 100% know - I've never had any battery issues but it seems coincidental to hit me this morning the next day after my radio dies completely. I don't know when the battery was last...
Okay so I located the correct fuse for the Radio/MMI and swapped it with a known working fuse and still no life to the radio or display - The fuse for the radio/mmi worked for my dash light fuse slot when tested so that rules out the fuse.
Is there another fuse on the backside of the radio itself?
Hi all,
Last night whilst driving home my radio display powered off and the concert radio LED's were flickering before eventually turning off completely. My steering wheel control also no longer work.

You need 581 PY21W bulbs.
Use Halfords website to plug your reg plate in and it'll tell you all the bulbs for your car.

I've used just a standard Carista OBD reader for fault checking and nothing comes up brake related, perhaps more advanced tools are needed.
Annoying indeed!
As my post above I have that same warning light come on every so often despite my pads being full.
I have Brembo brake pads and these you can pull the wear sensor cable out and replace if needed. I actually did this at first as I thought it was a dodgy cable. Guessing my issue is another cable...
I have the B8 and my brake pad light goes off every so often despite having lots of pad left. I can imagine its similar if not the same on the B8.5 but if you remove your wheel you can get to the cable and remove it without taking the pads out.
Hi all I wasn't sure which area to post this so mods please move if if there is a more appropriate place.
I have a pretty unique original reg plate on my A4 B8 and tend to get a lot of people comment on it - SE11XSV
Every so often I'll see a new car with what looks like an older original plate...
It's a good tool for sure, and if you're on android there is ways to uhh, use it 100% for free...
I don't agree with the pricing model for this though.
Get yourself a Bluetooth receiver and run a hidden aux lead into it.
I've done this in my car and hidden it in the center console and my phone auto connects and instantly plays music.
When one of mine blew I bought these - https://www.horizonleds.co.uk/d3s-35w-hid-replacement-bulb?search=d3s
You can even select the colour you want too.
Had them in for nearly a year and going strong.
