not going to **** swing about BMW on an Audi forum lol get yaself over to M3cutters if you want to do that lol
I’ve listed my BMWs above. B58 Is a good engine, and I’m fully aware it’s “potential” however it handles like **** and needs a proper diff for the RA. My neighbour actually owns one...
Lol
Mate as an owner of;
F80 M3 comp
F82 M4 comp
F87 M2 comp
F13 M6 comp
All stage2 with full supporting mods hardware/software and full suspension setups etc etc i personally think you talking ******** lol. Just because someone’s a dealer doesn’t mean they have exceptional knowledge of owning...
:yahoo:Lol
Mate we’ve all got loads of cars and money in the bank it’s just that some of us don’t need to mention it, but trying to pump ya gums on a car forum just makes you look like a complete bellcheese congratulations you’ve won that prize.
besides, if you’ve got zero interest on the car...
Car looks great there pal.
I’m not worried about anything car wise mate lol they come they go. I did put a deposit on a GT4 but I just couldn’t go ahead with it, common sense kicked in and the costs were not justified IMHO, so I’m currently looking for a 981 Cayman GTS and I’m actually going to...
Did have a deposit on a GT4 but as daft as it sounds I couldn’t go ahead with it, I just thought it was a huge amount of coin I was spending so I stuck my sensible head on for once and I’m now pursuing a 981 Cayman GTS.
Both my M3 and M4 comps were tuned to 520+ bhp and it was most definitely not pointless, learning the power delivery and how to modulate it was all part of the “M” appeal, I could always put the power down it just wouldn’t go anywhere sometimes :welcoming:
I assume you never really used MDM...
It’s a legacy thing and good engineering practice really but essentially it’s got to be to give the components a good chance to bed in using the thinner oil.
Nowadays there’s probably hint of BMW marketing too but I’ve always changed the oil within 2k on any performance car I’ve owned, again...
The oil they put in the car from factory is a thinner oil than the usual 5w30 it will run on in its life.
The RIS changes this oil from factory stuff to normal FS oil, the software is modulated to give full beans and LC is activated too, pretty sure the Diff oil is changed also.
As I said in the post I’ve owned both the M3/4 comp cars, there not limited to 101mph but once the car has had the RIS complete you can feel the urgency is on a completely different level.
Fuel economy no difference really, not that I ever really worried about that lol.
Low end on the M4 comp is savage I think, from 1750 rpm it’s explosive to the redline!
More lag in the RS3.
Well I raced one when my RS3 was stock and yes eventually I overtook him but there wasn’t a great deal in it at all, it actually surprised me but then it is close to 300kg lighter
Thing is with Porsche they hold there value so well that worrying about residuals isn’t really an issue like most other brands where you generally get your pants pulled down!
Its about £10k of options, the above doesn’t include vat on the price of the car (£50k), the car starts at around £61k I...
Really looking forward to traveling to the Nurburgring and around Europe in it next year now. I went to the Ring in the RS3 this year and it was awesome, car performed great and no issues, even the fuel economy on the way there was a surprise considering we were pushing on. FL RS3 has to be one...
You stick a nice stage1 tune on the RS3 mate and it’s on another level..
I almost put a deposit on an M4cs on Friday, got offered a good deal on one but I thought I’d pay a visit to Porsche before I made up my mind and I’m so glad I did as it’s looking like the 718 Cayman GTS is getting ordered...
The M DCT is an incredible gearbox mate and if the car had done the run in service etc you would agree I guarantee that lol
S-3 setting was and is generally avoided by most uses as it’s so brutal when it changes gear it makes the back end kick out and lose traction or if you pushing on around...
