In in what sense, physically or from a wiring/functionality POV? Short answer is probably, but there's likely modification required based on wiring, connectors etc. Also be aware that two door seat rails may not have the seat belt harness point built in (they're built into the body on the B8/.5 A5)
The wings are different between the B8 and the B8.5, ie pre and post facelift. However, I spent months researching and didn't find anything that indicated a difference between Sline and non S line.
As per other posters, I'd recommend finding a crash damaged car and grab the wing from that (and...
Do memory mirrors needs to be assigned as right hand drive vehicle somewhere in car's system?
The right side motor moves down when pushing interior adjustment knob right. On paper, this motor will work correctly in the left mirror, so considering swapping.
This would be a solution of sorts...
Long story, short - can I use VCDS to identity a date when a repair was undertaken?
The Q5 has had a new rear bumper (w/parking sensors) and tailgate fitted. I'm wondering if I can identify when that work was undertaken via a VCDS timestamp - for example, when replacement rear...
What is the best/safest way to remove front seats to avoid any seat airbag issues? I've seen suggestions of ignition on and removing negative cable from battery... I've also removed seats multiple times without touching the battery.
Should I crack on without touching the bat?
Appears to be the same set up as my saloon, both on seat backs and bench. BTW, are you referring to standard rears, i.e. no super sport seats?
I guess I could search for B8.5 saloon and avant S4 super sport seat part numbers for comparison.
Thanks for the reply!
I want to replace my leather rear bench and backrest in my B8.5 saloon with rear super sport seats from an RS4/S4.
Has anyone done this or able to confirm if avant seats are a straight swap with the saloon?
Ah Rocket wires, good shout and thank you.
I have Hertz components in the front and standard Audi Sound System speakers in the rear. For now, a cost effective upgrade is to replace with the B&O factory.
I know there's a lot of talk that they aren't great and certainly not worth what Audi...
Can anyone confirm if the connectors (male/female) for the B&O speakers on the B8 A4/A5 are different to the non B&O speakers?
I think they might be - if anyone can shed any light here (part number, link) that would be helpful! I've scoured eBay and found some info but not quite what i need...
To add, reliability is solid - i can't say i have had any issues. It's certainly a good idea service every 6k miles and use premium fuel, either always or regularly.
I see in the title that this A5 is 2014. In which case, it's highly unlikely to be suffering that issue.
However, keep researching and find out as much info as you can -there is plenty of info of this subject online across the various Audi forums.
Also, a stage one tune gives you great ROI...
You want to be looking at engine codes as well as model year and manufacturing date of said engine.
Broadly B8.5s don't suffer, and some late B8s. My A4 B8.5, registered 2012, engine code CDNC, dosent burn oil in quite the way that would indicate serious issues.
The other point is that an...
Do you have pics? i wouldn't underestimate 10mm - you don't want to be knocking hardware such as brakes due to offset.
Are they RS5 rotors buy any chance? An amazing looking wheel.
For sure, but this has, in the (almost) end been very satisfying. I've stripped four wing mirrors, down to de pinning and extending cables via heat shrinking - a great learning experience.
Almost there!
Thanks for responding.
Turns out it's far more simple - the motors themselves are sided, so i need the corresponding right side mirror...which i had ordered months ago, forgotten about and now need go through the house to locate it.
This is what happens when you spread a retrofit over many...
I have swapped the basic electric mirror motor with three wires, to an A5 memory motor with the green connector and six wires. This is for the right mirror (drivers).
The mirror adjusts and sets to memory position with the seats, so all good.... except the following problem:
Moving the...
