Update - so i took the car back. The garage has a look, topped up the oil slightly, and said it was a calibration issue with regards to the digital measurement :whip: MMI showing full oil level now. Need to invest in a actual dipstick I think. Thanks all:icon thumright:

So I called the garage. They said its pretty normal - its the calibration of the digital dipstick, and varies in hot and cold weather etc. Said to bring it in and they'll double check everything, so will be doing that in the coming days.

Hi Dude, Its a 2011 so B8. I assumed 6L as the invoice has the oil listed with quantity of 6.2 (6.2L I am assuming..could be wrong). Will definitely buy a dipstick soon too. ps. I didn't get the joke from Muppet, just assumed you were some sort of anti S5 person or anti oil person:footy: !!

As far as I know, no coding required. What I found with my issue was, the car wouldn't start when the engine (and presumably starter motor) was warm. It was fine first thing in the morning, but after a few journeys in the space of a few hours, the car most likely wouldn't start.

Quoted £900 from an audi independent specialist. Got it done for £500 at a family friend garage - genuine audi part.
