Rear light cluster (tailgate) shorted / corroded connector

It's not actually an LED unit - just the old school incandescent bulbs. The pin is completely gone however, so I don't think any amount of cleaning is going to bring it back unf.

Rear light cluster (tailgate) shorted / corroded connector

I have a 2013 C7 A6 Allroad, and recently had a dash warning for rear light / brake light. Thinking the bulbs were gone I took the light cluster out of the tailgate to replace them. However when I removed the main cable for the light cluster I noticed pin #3 is shorted / corroded. I'm pretty...

Safe remap for 204ps 3.0 TDI Quattro

I’ve got a 2014 A6 allroad quattro with the lowest spec 201hp 3.0 tdi. It’s just had the gearbox oil done at 80k miles. Performance is fine for a family bus but it can be a little lacking when the car is fully loaded for a family trip. My previous A4 Avant had the 242hp engine and that seemed...

Fitted Osram Nightbreakers for the dipped beams and the equivalent for the full beams. Problem solved - thanks @elan2s

Adjust dipped beam headlight angle on A6 C7 Allroad (2013)

That’s great thanks - have used the adjuster and the angle looks better now. Next question - the headlights seem a bit dim on dipped beam. Is there a better spec bulb I can get? The lenses are fairly clean / clear.

Adjust dipped beam headlight angle on A6 C7 Allroad (2013)

Hi all, After the sad demise of my A4 Avant I’m now the proud owner of a 2013 A6 Avant Allroad. The car has a whiff of the poverty spec about it in places, which means it has standard halogen headlights. Currently the dipped beam points far too low, and doesn’t illuminate the road far enough...

Help Please B8 headlights and driving in Europe

I don’t have that option unfortunately. Wonder if it’s just not a feature on my model?

Help Please B8 headlights and driving in Europe

Taking our 3.0 TDI Avant to France from the UK for the family hols next week. I couldn’t find anything in the MMI (2G high) to adjust the headlights for driving on the other side of the road. Have I missed something or do I just need to get the stickers out? Any pointers greatly appreciated. :)

Help Please 3.0 TDI (CCWA) oil level warning. Topped up / still on.

I don’t have VCDS. I do have Carista which can read codes so I’ll try that. It can’t force a re-check though. The car seems to think the bonnet is shut when it’s open and I’ve found a few posts suggesting it’s related to the MMI resetting the oil level.

Help Please 3.0 TDI (CCWA) oil level warning. Topped up / still on.

Hi all, Some more info. I’ve now got a dipstick and can confirm the oil level is at max after the top up. However the dash warning / MMI is still reporting oil level at min. It seems that the oil level sensor has not reset. Interestingly, I don’t see a warning on the dash that the bonnet is...

Help Please 3.0 TDI (CCWA) oil level warning. Topped up / still on.

Okay thanks both. Sounds like I'm probably okay to drive it for a day or two until I get the dipstick. I knew as soon as I saw the lack of one that it would be trouble!

Help Please 3.0 TDI (CCWA) oil level warning. Topped up / still on.

Hi all, Had an oil change on our 3.0 TDI last September. Indy advised me to top up the oil occasionally. Was "getting around to it" 9 months later when the MMI "top up oil (1.25 l)" warning (yellow light) came on. Put a litre in it, warning still on. Yesterday bought more oil and put another...

Help Please School me on the ways of the diesel

Okay good to know thanks. Yeah we got nearly 600 to a tank on a run down to the med coast of France and back during the summer. We were cruising at some pretty decent speeds too.

    No aux or Bluetooth!

If your Audi is anything like mine any Bluetooth it does have will be only for phone calls. Without going into the myriad of expensive and complex ways to add proper Bluetooth to the car, the easiest way as detailed above is to buy an Bluetooth to FM transmitter. I don't think you'll easily be...

Help Please School me on the ways of the diesel

8 months on the car’s been good. Had a couple of fixes - broke a coil spring at the back, and the rear wiper motor died. Other that that it’s had a service and it’s doing a great job of whisking the family round in comfort. Apart from the decent turn of speed, my favourite feature is undoubtedly...

Help Please Engine undertray fasteners - A4 Avant 3.0 TDI SE

Okay thanks – yep I could feed a cable tie through the hole visible in the second pic above. Do you happen to know what these parts are called? Is it the skid pan? And if so is it a speed nut and dowel pin?

Help Please Engine undertray fasteners - A4 Avant 3.0 TDI SE

Hi all, Our B8 A4 Avant's engine undertray has lost a fastener and is hanging down on the driver’s side. The drivers side with the fastener missing looks like this: The passenger side which still has a fastener looks like this: And the front of the car looks like this: I've found this...

    B8 modern audio options?

Yep I now have that setup. The volume is a bit low from the transmitter I bought but at £15 I can try another one. What is the particular one you’ve got? Does it come through at the right level?
