If my memory is correct as its been a while, if you are wiring this up for yourself you need 4x phono plugs and 4x phono inline sockets and some screened audio cable ( or 2x pre made leads ie phono extension leads like the link below). shorten (cut cable) to about 6 inches and solder the...
So it looks like these are classed as 20cm din size, I may just try my mac Audio 16.5 cm components in place with an MDF plate and tweeter on the plastic where the door mirror is mounted. Just got to find time to do this.
Looking through the Alpine upgrade manual for the SPC-100AU woofers and tweeters ie 2 way and SPC-200AU extra amp and 3 mid units (see link below), it appears that full frequencies come through to the main speaker cable as it splits it and uses a crossover inline to split the woofer and tweeter...
I’m looking at ditching oem speakers and need to find the location of the cross over or if it’s driven from the amp? Any details would be appreciated.
I’ve already had the door trim off see recent post
2015 B8.5 A4 Avant Main speaker tear down pictures...
The centre speaker has already been disconnected see previous post.
I was amazed at how much (harsh) mid range comes from this tweeter.
The bass units in front doors are bigger than expected and bigger than the sub one [emoji23].
Hope this helps people, as I needed to know what was there...
I haven’t had time or need to check in VCDs as yet.
I would look at distance or time since last regen and soot level.

How many miles has it done?
Can you borrow someone’s android phone who has the app and the OBD connector or if someone has Vag-com to check to see if it’s completing the Regen.
I assume the temperature is still stuck on the 90 degrees?

I decided to disconnect the centre speaker in my A4 2015 avant B8.5, see pictures below, All i did was unplug it and cable tie up the connector to stop any vibration. The separation is much better and less mid range at the front (which makes sence due to the extra speaker). Try it and see. you...
More than likely it’s done a DPF regen and cooling down afterwards as it gets up to 650 plus degrees.
My 2 litre B8.5 2015 does this and have also checked via the app VAG-DPF only available on android at the moment.

Nicely done.
Maybe upgrade the existing speakers and deadening behind them.
You can drop the subwoofer level from the stock sub adjust on the screen.

My A6 Avant did that 2005 S-line the rear springs had broken/rotted at the bottom Mot issue. I replaced all the springs and all shocks at the same time. Drove so much better and ride smoother as shocks were on way out.
About £400 from eBay Germany but a basted to fit the front and back not that...
It comes out and attaches to to rear seat with the alloy sliders when folded down and hooks in the side of the roof near the rear door towards the front.

So I’ve had it back out and modified it slightly and cheaply.
I will post up the waveform difference on the sweep test at some stage but it’s definitely better, less resonance during radio presenter vocals and certain songs, the bass seems tighter and lower ranges can be heard better now...
That’s exactly what I had in my 55 plate A6 with a 2G high.
Easy to install remove the CD player out of the glove box, behind it you will find the optical link connectors on the back you can either ditch the CD player with a Single FOT version or use a dual FOT version to keep the CD player...
Would also like to try an Isobaric set up but not sure there is enough room for the extra cone 2x 4 ohm so it still looks like 2 ohm to the amp and will be a little lower level.
