Happy days!
My insurers approved bodyshop looked at the car and said no way is it a write off!
Damage is about 2k’s worth of work, and they’ve valued the car at 5.5k. So perfectly acceptable to repair it…albeit a long repair.
They have to cut the quarter panel out and weld a new panel in...
Insurance came back with Total Loss but they are going to refer it to an engineer.
Im really struggling to find alternatives to the a3 Tdi Quattro black edition.
Any thoughts?

So, my numpty neighbour decided to pull out of their drive and reverse into the side of my a3.
Was a towbar that caused damage.
Question is, can this be repaired?

There should be a sticker in the hand book with the code. I think it’s next to the build sticker.
But it may be in the radio book. Can’t remember.
Failing that, you can pay a £5 to have the code sent to you...
I’ve looked around on the site for a fix for this but can’t seem to find one.
This is driving me nuts!
I’ve fitted new Bosch aero twins and it’s still missing a patch on the screen.
Anyone have any suggestions on a fix?

I had my clock and mileage flickering on my dash.
Was told to change the battery. Tbh, it had the original battery that was 10 years old. So I changed it.
Didn’t fix the flickering clock. Was going to do the alternator at some point as a next step.
Changed the reverse switch in the gearbox as...
Thanks for this!
I managed to figure it out.
I changed it 070 TU3 and left the serial number the same except for 1 digit.
Thanks for all your help.

Hello,
I’ve fitted a new exide ek700 battery to my 2010 a3 quattro.
All is good, except I need to code the battery to the car.
I have start stop and obviously that has stopped working.
I have a ross tech cable so I can program the change.
Unfortunately the exide batteries do not come...
I have vcds and based in Paddock Wood.
But, that doesn’t seem right. Usually once a new bulb is fitted it should just work.

Repairers collected the car today. Said the reverse switch connector was not plugged in properly.
“This was not to do with the collision but we’ve plugged it back in anyway” BS!!!
