Can a stock 2260vzk equipped 3.0 safely make over 300hp with an uprated intercooler? I've been told even with an uprated intercooler the stock emissions equipment limits are about 300 hp and then you run into egt problems.

I have the BITDI intercooler installed, not sure how much power if any it adds but certainly is a good idea once you are pushing the stock turbo to the max.
I got tired of waiting for a solution for my ZF 8HP55 so I installed a Sprintbooster. Not as good as a TCU tune but very helpful with transmission lag nonetheless.
I don't; but as has been said above you won't notice a big difference unless you delete the DPF. A catback with the DPF in place is just slightly louder and deeper than stock but not loud by any means.
