There have been minor things to reset on other cars that I have known, such as reprogramming the electric windows.
If I disconnect the battery on my B9, will anything require to be reset on reconnection? And particularly, anything that cannot be done DIY? Thanks
I've always filled up with Shell or BP standard unleaded - I've avoided supermarket fuels as branded fuels are supposed to contain more detergents to keep the engine clean and I've never suffered with running problems.
My local BP unleaded is 143.9p but I have discovered that Morrisons down the...
2016 1.4TFSI 25,000m. Car was misfiring so checked with OBD Eleven, which showed misfires in all cylinders. Thought it might be a fuel system problem so booked it in to an independent VW/Audi specialist. They replaced all 4 coil packs and plugs. It's perfect now. Anyone else suffered coil pack...
Thanks for all the replies. I bought the Maypole and both cars absorbed a lot of charge. I now have confidence that I can prevent the batteries from deteriorating during these strange times...
Not driving much due to lockdown, so have charged my wife's Ibiza battery no problem.
I want to charge the A4 but using ordinary chargers is not advised with an AGM battery. I have a charger which has a trickle mode. about 3A max. I can't see that causing any damage for a few hours.
What do...
After a really hard frost this week I lost DAB reception but still had AM/FM. I drove about 10 mins and parked the car up in full sun. Went back to the car an hour later and DAB was back.
I must admit to using a defrosting technique passed on by an old neighbour many years ago - if the car is...
Further to my trip to the north-east in earlier post, I've recently returned from a trip to Suffolk - Stockport to Southwold via Belton House in Lincs. Southwold to Bury St Edmunds, local trips out around Bury, then return via A14, A50 & M6. Approx 500 miles, True mpg = 51. There was a long...
When I bought my 2016 1.4 about six months ago I was concerned that the fuel economy would be far worse than my previous diesel (Seat Exeo 2.0 143, basically a rebadged A4 B7 with newer engine), however I soon came to the view that MPG was only 10% worse, which works out at similar cost per...
HI, I posted this in the A4 forum and received a reply recommending that I drop a PM to creweaudiparts, so here is my question:
Would a driveshaft from an A4 B9 2.0 fit an A4 B9 1.4, assuming they have the same part number 8W0407271E
In other words and in general, can you forget about other...

In other words and in general, can you forget about other factors when considering compatibility as long as the part number is identical?

Sounds good. I usually take the optional legal cover with my insurance at £20 -£25 extra, as I used it once and was glad that I paid for it. If I take Ensurance, presumably this means that I can drop legal cover with my main insurer?
