Late to the party, but if it's useful, I've replaced my standard heated seats for full electric without unplugging the battery, and as Darren92 has stated, don't start the ignition. You'll be fine

P. S. After disconnecting/reconnecting the battery you may want to clear any faults on Carista/VCDS etc. Not 100% essential (you won't get any dash warnings or anything) but I like to have a clean slate.

I've been following this dude, he's basically my inspiration! He has 17"s with 235/65 tyres, but he had to shave the rear arch a piece to make it work. Also it's an A4 allroad so unsure of the arch difference.
