Hi Guys,
I'm selling my s5 rotors that have been fitted to my a4. They're in good condition for the age and have 4 new Michelin pilot sport 4s tyres which were fitted earlier in the year. Genuine audi alloys (not copies). No cracks or welds, some wheels have some slight marks on them but still...
From memory, I think its 457. This is for the glow plug/engine module. You'll notice there are a few hefty fuses in the relay box. It could be this. Do you have a multimeter handy to test to see if you have a short?
Thats the one. There are two at the back if i recall from memory, you'll be able to see them. It is a tight squeeze to get the cover off and out but i've managed to do mine without removing the entire black grilled panel before.
Does the light illuminate when you turn the key once? The coil light might not come on at all because the engine is at a temp where the car can fire without warming the glow plugs.
Relays are located in the scuttle panel. Check to see if the unit is sealed nicely as there may be some water ingress.
Did a pressure test for over an hour, the gauge didn't really leak what so ever. I'm thinking this may be an EGR cooler failure? Would this throw up a code?
Hey everyone
Recently my 57 plate avant has developed a few niggles. The major one concerning me at the moment is coolant loss. Every 2/3 weeks i'm having to fill up the coolant expansion tank due to the indicator on the dash telling me its low. I've had a poke around the engine and i cannot...
Just drove the car and tested it again after clearing the faults and cylinder 1 and 2 are new displaying as faults.
Any ideas? I've changed the 80a fuse in the engine bay, new glow plug module, 4 new glow plugs. I'm not sure how to test if it is the loom throwing off the amount of fuel needed...
morning guys,
yesterday I drove to work, everything was fine until I joined the motorway, the check oil light came on. I thought this was weird as I only changed the oil a few weeks back and it isn't leaking at all. The only issue i have is i get irratic idling and pulling away can sometimes be...
Today my car started to smell of diesel as i walked past it. I decided to take a look and noticed the return hose that goes to the pump has split just before the fuel hose clip. I noticed it was damaged when i changed the filter a few weeks back but it has now given up the ghost and is leaking...
Hi Guys,
One of my rear coil springs has snapped so I've decided to replace the rear suspension setup. I've ordered new Sports Springs for the rear but I am finding it impossible to select the correct rear shock absorber. When I go to GSF or ECP it gives me 4 choices but there isn't any obvious...

All fixed, wires were pretty corroded so had to strip them back even further. Reenforced a few cracked but not broken wires with 2 layers of heat shrink. All other wires were stripped back and rewired and soldered together with 2 layers of shrink wrap.
If anyone has the same issue, it was the...
The problem is I just had 4 new Michelin pilot sports fitted only a month ago. Kinda stuck with the current setup as the tyres cost me near enough £500.
Arch rolling? Or even fitting se springs an option? Failing that coil over on a high rear setting?
hi guys,
I just fitted my Audi rotors on my newer a4 avant. My previous avant (se) ran with them perfectly with no issues. Since fitting them on the s line i have noticed that the tyre wall is hitting the inside of the wheel arch. I think this is because the s line suspension is much lower...
