Surely it isn't just me who thinks £2400 for a remap is absurd?

I haven't actually - can you still use the valves? I know they still work physically, but I am sure somebody on here had it done for the 8Y and it essentially made the valves irrelevant. Put me off slightly.

I also came from a facelift 8V (with PCW exhaust mod), so the new car's quietness was quite shocking. It isn't quite cold start loudness but it is a welcome and worthwhile upgrade, you get the occasional burble to come through at low speed at least.

I need one of these in my life. I love the car but my god it's quiet, particularly at low RPM. Looks like the price has just gone up on them. I could have sworn they were cheaper the last time I looked.

The car is being delivered on Friday 24th November. Will be a few days shy of a 2 year wait. I was shocked when I got the insurance quotes.. but I am trying to not let it take the shine off!

The car is built and on the ship to the UK. I hope to pick it up within the next few weeks :icon thumright:

I was miffed they added the option for a pan roof on Carbon Black, I would have definitely specced that, but it doesn't let you add it with the roof bars on this model anyway. I know you could have both on the last model.

Mine is now unconfirmed build week 36. I've always been pretty lucky with wait times on cars, but my luck has well and truly run out for this one.

Mine has slipped to unconfirmed build week 29. I'm not going to bother chasing again, it's too depressing. Will let you know when I pick it up though.

I can go one further. I ordered the same spec through the same Audi dealership (Albeit mine is via Griffin), 3-4 months earlier. Wouldn't be surprised if they are just picking orders out of a hat at this point. Enjoy it though Rob - post some pictures when it arrives.

Sorry for the confusion, but mine is not in build. I have an unconfirmed build week 20. I do indeed wish that it was though.

I've also had the same message! Gone from no build week to expected build week 20.

You can remove my build week. Reading between the lines with my broker, I am not sure it ever even had one. I originally said to myself if it wasn't here for the summer, I would cancel, but with the interest rate / RRP rises since ordering, I will probably ride it out and see if it ever turns...

This is also my experience. Closed kits do look the part though. The build is looking mega Pedro and looking forward to seeing what else you've planned.
