I went for a Febi aftermarket part. I think it came from Amazon. Sorry, I did also replace the radiator temperature sensor. I believe this was either Febi or Meyle. Both were very easy to replace. Perhaps replace the cheapest of the two parts first and go from there.

Bump - Has anyone else experienced the same symptoms as @Alex C ? I read one theory that the control module cuts off power to the pump if it detects an issue. I.e. too much resistance. Any truth in that? Thanks

I've got them with Bilstein B8s and H&R springs. For me they did add some noticeable harshness. However they have lasted. Although the bearings may take more abuse?? I wasn't impressed with the Leon Cupra R top mounts as the be gap appeared after a relatively short time, but they were less harsh.
