So he arrived around 20 minutes ago, had them off in under 10 minutes using a big hammer apparently. The garage is going to continue with their work first thing in the morning so hopefully i have the car back tomorrow. Thanks for all your help Andrew!

Hi thanks for the fast reply. They said due to it having a spinning collar they are unable to remove it. Searching the net it appears the socket trick no longer works on these locking wheel nuts.
