As others have said it's the flexi joint- a catback won't get rid of it as it's part of the downpipe.

Yeah I think you're right as the gear changes have never been the smoothest in the lower gears but I put it down to the gearbox mount. Having since changed it, it was still doing it and now my flywheel has gone so I'm sure it has been on its way out for a while as you said.

Since getting it home I can hear a loud tapping noise so I think my flywheel has gone :confusion:

Anyone experienced clutch judder? My cars started to judder in first and reverse especially also when I first start it with the clutch in you can feel a slight vibration/ grind through the pedal. Is my clutch on its way out? Cheers

Does it get stuck then you can lift it back up with your hand? Sounds like the slave cylinder might be on its way out, happened on my s3

Yeah I was thinking about fitment also, hopefully someone here has fitted one and can shed some light on it, if I got it fitted at an exhaust fabricator maybe they could bend it slightly to make it fit if it did have any issues?

hi, has anyone got a cheap unbranded downpipe and are they any good? Found one for £140 which is stainless steel and has mandrel bends so surely it can’t be that bad as it is just a pipe at the end of the day? cheers
