I found the Audi SatNav to be very hard to use, it kept deleting favorite places and was often unable to find locations ( even when you could see them on the maps ). Fortunately, Waze works very well now. The only issue is that it wont show on the dash screen, only audio and on the centre screen.

I can lock and unlock it from the phone app ( after entering pin code etc ), but haven't seen how to start it or use the phone as a proximity key.

I guess obvious bits are to check volume on the various feeds. Is the mute light showing on the dash ? The little roller when on the right hand side of mine will mute if pushed. Otherwise it sounds like a loose connection / fuse. Sorry if teaching to suck eggs!!!!!!!!!!

Yup I can see similar in mine, if a bag is put down on seat next to rear passenger the light comes up warning. Mine seem to go off pretty fast, but still it is a pain them being sensitive to a kg of weight.
