So you can fit drive select option onto a car that didn't have it to start with? Surely half of the stuff in it wouldn't work as the car wasn't built with the relevant things in it?

I thought B8.5s only had sensors on the front drivers side? Or do they have them on the rears as well? The rear pads are also full mind so it's not down to them being worn if there is a rear sensor. when i looked the other day i couldn't actually figure out how to undo the connector thats...

Yeah. weirdly it seems to be triggered if you go over a big bump. The car is due a DSG service anyway so once lockdown is lifted i will be getting that done and will get them to look at the fault code for this when they do as i don't have a code reader device yet. all i know is its annoying ha ha

This is the dash warning that i get. Given it says pads i'm assuming it's the sensor being weird as the pads have loads on them. Unless this means something else? Any suggestions as to whether this would be the sensor causing this? Thanks Paul. Will bare that in mind if i end up having to do...

well i've waggled the wire about a bit but not driven anywhere since. Am due to go to the super market shortly so if it comes on will take a picture. The words definitely say brake pads though. but the symbol is green. Pics to follow.... the rear pads are full as well.

Hi I have a question in relation to the brake sensor on my b8.5 S4. The green light comes on, usually after going over a big bump or in the wet, when driving. The pads have got about 70% left on them. I've checked. Now I know the sensor is on drivers side front and is just a piece of wire...

No drive select unfortunately...... but thanks. That's great. Will pull it and see what it sounds like. I'm just interested to know how much sound it pumps into the inside of the car really. I don't dislike how it sounds now but want to see what it sounds like without it in.

Hi, Can someone help me with working out which of the fuses in the picture is the sound actuator please? I know it's fuse 5 but on which strip / side of the dash. Any help greatly appreciated. Just want to see how different it sounds with it out for a change. Cheers

So did you seal the flaps that open and close when the boot shuts completely then? I mean the flaps are so flimsy on them anyway i'm not sure they really do that much. I do get bits of condensation inside now it's got colder. Maybe it's those same vent causing it on mine. Did it solve the...
