    None starter

    Tried to start up this morning and it wasnt successful. All dash lights came on but on turning the key nothing happened - no cranking. Started after quite a few attempts and has been alright since. No cel, battery was new a few weeks ago. Wheres best to start with this?

    High revs at idle

    06 s4. 4.2 The car has suddenly developed a fault - it is revving ar around 1200rpm at idle. It started this afternoon when I got in the car from work - didn't coincide with any symptoms. No cel at present, any ideas? Seems to be worse when the engines hot Thanks.

    What's a ballpark figure for replacing the timing chain on the 4.2 S4? I enquired at a few local garages and had quotes between 1400-2000, does that sound too cheap to you lot - I thought itd be more expensive than that. Also - will a cam chain kit cure the cold start rattle or do I need...

    Wet carpets - drivers side "06 S4

    Hi all. Picked up an s4 avant recently and am working through a list of issues... Wet carpets. Its only the drivers side carpets that are wet both front and back, the passengers side carpets are dry. What could be the likely cause of wet drivers side carpets? Ta.
