Does anyone know or can they check the standard ride height from ground to arch on all four corners with 19” OEM wheelsplease (in CM) with 255/35/19
S Line or Black Edition (2.0 TDI)
I was advised if I was to lower it then use 5mm spacers giving ET38 to be safe of rubbing. I don’t have spacers as it looked much better lowered as you can see. I tried spacers but didn’t really fill the arches as only pushed the wheel out.
I have a B8 Avant and was told ET35/33 was the maximum you could go so I’m surprised the ones fitted are ET32 being that much tucked in that photo?
when I had standard 18” with ET47 I had 24mm rear and 16 front clearance to arch
The spacers I then fitted was 10/15 (ET37/ET32 and looked nice...
Easiest way is to now measure the gap between the middle top of the tyre to fender (less any lip on inside of arch)
let’s say it’s 16mm id go for 10/12mm incase you decide on getting 19” wheels or lowering it.
I think to keep comfort id be better waiting for a 19” OEM set which then gives options for lowering and spacers.
The seems to be a lot more 20” secondhand options hence by questions
What size were the original wheels and did you use spacers etc?
If I got 20x8.5 ET45 A6 Rotors then put 5mm and 10mm spacers that would work with S Line or Eibach Pro springs?
Looking for a set of 19” OEM rotors for my B8.5 Avant, but noticed a few people run 20x9 ET35 concave.
Anyone run OEM A6 20x8.5 ET45 and would I need spacers
currently standard S Line with 18”
Thanks

Spacers push the wheel out by lowering the ET, so If you had ET43 and fitted 7mm it would change to ET36 pushing out 7mm further.
Think spacers are 3,5,8,10,12,15,20
