Just a quick survey.
When you are driving during the day, with your lights OFF, are your Needles & Scales (i.e. the background behind the Needles) both lit up?
This black part covers the brake fluid reservoir, can it be easily removed?
It just makes it awkward to see the fluid level in the reservoir.
I've already removed the beauty plastic cover that fits on top of the engine.
In my Audi A4 B8, the needles in the dash illuminate fine with the lights off, but the scales behind the needles can hardly be seen.
Everything all looks ok when the lights are switched on, but I don't want to drive with the lights on during the day.
Has anyone been able to turn the scales on...

This link shows that most of these car repair garages are dishonest.
Ticking the box, but not carrying out the work., etc.
This is why the customer should have the option to see their car being serviced, or have a video of it, or a...
So with the front undertray removed, you get a better look at the subframe.
Would the yellow axle stand safely support the weight of the car at that position on it's own?
That silver/aluminium cross member seems to be part of the sub-frame.
Your thoughts gents.
Afternoon
Does anyone know the torque settings for the various bits and pieces when replacing the front spring?
Car is just the normal 4-door, 2.0Tdi, A4 B8
I couldn't find a how-to-video for it either. Lots of ones for the rear springs.
Thanks for reading.
Afternoon
Can everyone please stop referring to these Zerman cars as being premium products, because they are not anymore.
They have built-in obsolescence and are designed to fail after the 3-year warranty has finished.
Thanking yous!
Do the Audi A8's come with ACC & LKAS as standard, or is it an optional feature?
ACC (Adaptive cruise control to bring car to a full stop)
LKAS - Active Lane Assist - where the car turns the steering wheel.
Which years?
Thanks
Evening
So contemplating getting the misfuel Angel device (https://www.misfuellingprevention.co.uk/)
To prevent petrol going into a diesel car.
Are they any good?
Does it cause problems when you're filling up?
Anyone used one.
Your comments/experience please.
Seems a bit pricey.
Suppose the...
Hello
Those air hammers that the workshops use look like a decent bit of kit for removing stubborn parts.
However, most people don't have compressed air at their house.
Is there an electrical version of the air hammer?
If so, please post link.
Obviously, there are electric versions of air...
During normal daylight hours the dash visibility is very poor.
I can turn up the brightness of the speedo & fuel gauge needle, etc. so no problem there.
However, the background of the dash is very hard to see, and I can't find a way to make that brighter.
The net result is it is very difficult...
Ok, here's Audi UK's reply ;
Thank you for your recent email regarding the cambelt on your Audi A6.
I can confirm that The cambelt (also known as the timing belt or toothed belt) is normally located at the front of the engine. The timing belt connects the crankshaft and the camshaft, thus...
The fan speed seems to change at its own will when driving.
Just seems random when it changes.
I don't have the "Auto" climate setting on.
I just want to set my own fan speed, and I only want it to change when I manually change it.
Anyone else have this issue.
Thanks
Hello
Has anyone retro-fitted rear parking sensors to a 2009 Audi A4, and then coded them in with VCDS.
I don't want to just splice into the reverse light circuit.
Thanks
Hello
Apparently, there are about 140,000 cases per year where people are putting petrol in a diesel car.
It's easily done when not focusing. This will definitely scrap the high pressure fuel pump, and is an expensive fix.
Is there a cheap fix which prevents this from happening in the first...
