    Folding Mirrors - Coding

I had folding mirrors retrofit to my S3 on purchase at the dealership, which Audi subcontracted out to another company. Everything was working fine on collection and I was happy. Since then I've been having issues with the gearbox, and as part of Audis diagnostics they've replaced the...

Facelift New to me 2017 S3 Sportback - DSG woes

Interesting, I hadn't really thought about checking same generation Golf R's for the issue. That 3rd post describes exactly what I feel, a weird notchy early shift from 2nd to 3rd, and I agree its not terrible, just annoying for what the car cost. It's more embarrassing when I have passengers as...

Facelift New to me 2017 S3 Sportback - DSG woes

It's an approved used car from an Audi dealer, so it'll just have the latest software available assuming they updated everything when sorting the mechatronic. They have actually wiped the spare key (which Audi provided and coded), and my folding mirrors (again which I paid Audi to fit), so some...

Facelift New to me 2017 S3 Sportback - DSG woes

Update just incase anyone find this thread with the same issues. New mechatronic is in now and things are better. It feels a lot less sluggish than before and is a little faster to react to throttle changes. The 2nd to 3rd shift will still lurch occasionally though and I have no idea what...

Facelift New to me 2017 S3 Sportback - DSG woes

Been a while, but after taking the car to Audi a couple of times with it coming back as "unable to replicate", I managed to take the car there and take a technician out with me to physically show him the issue. They agreed that something was wrong and now I'm just waiting for a replacement...

    B&O - No mid range?

Sorry for the triple post, feel this is a worth while update. Popped the mid B&Q speaker cover off. Removed the three torx screws from the door card. Popped the door card away from the door without totally removing it to get a look at the bottom speaker. Speaker isn't even plugged in. Plugged...

    B&O - No mid range?

Okay, breakthrough. Front passenger side door woofer doesn't work. 99.9% sure this is why everything sounds so thin. Basically whet around with the fade and balance and checked every speaker with my ear against it, front passenger woofer does absolutely nothing. Joys.

    B&O - No mid range?

I have also been using a wireless CarPlay adapter but honestly its no different sound quality wise when switching to a genuine Apple cable. I honestly don't know if this is how it is supposed to sound and if I'm going a little insane? I've tried so many combinations of settings that I'm not...

    B&O - No mid range?

To me it sounds better with the surround on max, but yea I have played around with those a fair bit.

    B&O - No mid range?

What’s the best way to test this? Pop to my dealer and sit in another and compare potentially?

    B&O - No mid range?

You mean via Music? I mean yes, but you only have that if you have the Music app installed, which I didn’t. Installing it makes no difference. Also worth noting it’s the same via Bluetooth, so no cables or ports to introduce a fault.

    B&O - No mid range?

So Spotify does have its own EQ settings, and changing these do make a difference, but everything was turned off so it was flat by default. Bluetooth audio from the same phone not via CarPlay sounds the same as is does through CarPlay. I guess the next test is to find a CD and give that a go…...

    B&O - No mid range?

Aren't those settings specific to the Music app though?

    B&O - No mid range?

In my S3 using Spotify via CarPlay the B&O system just seems to consist of treble and sub-bass, there doesn't seem to be any mid-range unless I crank the "Bass" setting all the way up. But even then it still sounds unbalanced. All of the speakers are producing sound so no real issues there, and...

Facelift New to me 2017 S3 Sportback - DSG woes

Had the car back for almost a week now and been trying to get a few miles on it around town. Although the gearbox is better, it still stumbles on the 2 to 3 shift. The A3 e-tron I had as a loaner was amazingly smooth compared to mine, though it was a newer car so I'd imagine that has something...

Facelift New to me 2017 S3 Sportback - DSG woes

Just got the car back. The haldex pump was completely dead, so had a new one fitted under warranty, and the DSG had a software update. Feels like a completely different car, no more front wheel spin and the gearbox feels a lot less clumsy. Also had a new rear window fitted due to broken...

Facelift New to me 2017 S3 Sportback - DSG woes

Wait, I'm confused. Are you saying I shouldn't just hold the brake pedal at a T junction / roundabout, as that doesn't seem to make much sense? The car doesn't always creep and will occasionally roll backwards. Does this mean I have no real way of pulling out of a junction "quickly", and to...

Facelift New to me 2017 S3 Sportback - DSG woes

If I stop at a junction (no auto hold here) and slowly press the accelerator to continue out of the junction, the RPMs will creep up and the clutch with suddenly grab jolting the car forward. It doesn't happen every time, but does happen more often when I'm stopped at a junction for a long...

Facelift New to me 2017 S3 Sportback - DSG woes

Appreciate all the responses. Fed all the information back to the salesman I dealt with at my dealership and he has confirmed everything has been passed over to their technical team for my appointment next week. Fingers crossed that it's all resolved fairly quickly. Just regarding the DSG, I...

Facelift New to me 2017 S3 Sportback - DSG woes

Yea I've been through all of the Haldex bits and bobs so I sort of know the issues and whats involved in a repair. Car is booked in with the dealership with videos provided of the front wheel spin so they should have a rough idea of whats going on. Not sure if I can persuade them to clean /...
