the other one has a flap that opens in certain modes of operation for less restricted exhaust. I suspect is closed in comfort mode, open in dynamic and maybe open at other times dependant on what has been programmed by Audi.
There is a sound actuator on the firewall of the later sq5 that gives enhanced engine noise in the cabin, the volume controlled in service menu. Also speakers in a can/s as part of the exhaust at the rear that amplify enhanced exhaust noise outside at the rear when selected via engine mode...
Had a rubbing/binding sensation at low speed tight turns, some noise as well. Turned out to be rubber bush where steering shaft exits body underneath.
Dealer said is known issue, and fixed by turning bush and /or lubricating where shaft rubbing on bush (2020 SQ5)
Have the same low rev "rattle" on acceleration. 2020 SQ5 TDI.
Mechanic said the same as above , normal injector noise??
Have had diesels before that never made injector noise.
