I ordered my S3 Vorsprung Saloon Navarra Blue in May 2021. I ended up with confirmed build week 21 and it arrived week 28. So, about 15 months from order to delivery - if you’re being told 12 months that’s already an improvement!

I got a call mid week last week to say it was at the UK port and would be a couple of weeks. Then a day or so later…it was at the dealer! So, it could be less if you’re lucky. In theory, I should finally have my car very soon after a 15 month wait

I finally have a confirmed build week. Only took 12 months to get one. Build week is w/c 23 May. Presuming it does actually get built that week, I might have a car by mid-July. Only 15 months after ordering although this seems to be the norm at present for early 2021 orders. Fingers crossed...

That is a surprisingly long wait. Most people I’ve seen posting on here wait between 10 to 14 months. I think more recently, the lockdowns in Beijing and Singapore coupled with the war in Ukraine have impacted Audi (and others). Have you tried bypassing your dealer and speaking directly to Audi?

My build week has gone back to an unconfirmed mid May date… here’s hoping.

Thanks for your help. The My Audi App says I need both the VIN and the Vehicle Code in order to add the vehicle. Will the dealer have access to both once it’s built? I assume they will but want to check. I imagine though that a dealer should be able to access or request the “as built” info...

I believe Audi changed supplier, so there has been a delay in getting the sunroofs delivered. Unconfirmed of course.

I ordered beginning May 2021. Not likely to see mine until end May 2022. Things may pick up but it all depends on the model and how many gadgets you have on it.

I had an update today too. After 8 months I have an unconfirmed BW of Week 15 (wc 15 Apr). It’s at least moving in the right direction but will be over 12 months since ordering that I see my car (S3 Vorsprung).

Absolutely agree. Although, the dealer wasn’t exactly open and honest when I placed the order. It looks like they never had any build slots left but failed to mention that. So I effectively went to the bottom of the list… like many I expect. Keep hoping

At least @Rads has a build week. Ordered beginning May, no sign of a BW even an unconfirmed one. …and the comment about expense and speed of delivery - not always true! I’m fed up of asking for updates now as I am told nothing. Just resigned to a 22 plate or even a 72 next year

Nope, never had one. It took them 2 hrs to accept the order and more than four months to work out when they might (not) build it. Dealer seems to know less that I do!

Yep, that’s what I’m assuming. If I am lucky. I know it’s not exactly Audi’s fault but it’s just so damn annoying. “No build date” four months in…

They eventually got back to me today… response below: “Good afternoon. We have checked your order again and this is still waiting to be assigned a build date, all we can advise you is to keep checking the progress of this with us. Thank you for your patience.” Not a happy bunny at the moment…

Yeah, my faith in receiving a new car this year is slowly reducing… I’m going to wait until Audi finally sort out the production scheduling before deciding whether to go elsewhere or not. The thing is, if I go for another car then the waiting game begins all over again and unless there is one...
