well after 8 nearly 9 years ownership the car has gone to its new owner
the car has given me so much enjoyment over the last few years and a few very minor problems
if theres anyone reading this thinking about owning an s4 all i can say is do it you will not regret it
im missing the v8...
are the coolant expansion tanks fitted to various models in the range
all the same ???
the s4 expansion tank has the main output pipework facing forwards towards the front of the car
i would like to be able to find an expansion tank , which has the main output on the bottom of the expansion...

im looking at changing the standard suspension on my s4 for something which is a little more adjustable
has anybody done this and if so what did they use ???

a friend of mine has just bought a one owner 1997 2.5 tdi avant

hoping somebody can help
on saturday i noticed the temperature gauge start to act a little funny
when i first turned on the ignition the temperature gauge went upto around 70 even before id started the engine
the temperature climbs and eventually hits 90 degrees and usually...
have just had a very very lucky escape
whilst filling up at a local petrol station , with my young daughter strapped in the car (engine off with keys removed from ignition)
noticed a small puff of smoke from under bonnet , this very quickly became a lot of smoke
i threw the petrol pump down...
sometime ago i replaced the standard exhaust system with a milltek system ...
on the standard exhaust system there are some small valves which are supposed to open and give the glorrious v8 rumble
the milltek system does not have these valves so i simply blocked the pipes up believeing them...
had a couple of warnings up on car since weekend which dont seem to be going away
18265 - load signl from ecu p1857-35-00
16497 - intake air temp sensor signal high
16486 - 16486 signal too low p0102 -002
funnilly enough both sidelights have blown recently as well just wondering if its at...
i have a 2003 s4 avant which has an aftermarket performance exhaust (milltek)
on the stock exhaust there are two actuators one on each side with two vacuum pipes
the aftermarket exhaust does not have these on
does anyone know what these actuators or vacuum pipes actually do i am unsure...

the engine code is bbk and the gearbox code is 09l
i have asked audi technical if the gearbox oil needs either changing or topping up at any particular service
ive been told it,s a sealed unit and doesnt require the oil...
quick question guys
do audi make a black alcantara headlining to fit the b7 avant
am struggling to fins any info or prices
would like to fit a new one in my b6 s4
