The garage had it for a day a couple of weeks ago and "said" they adjusted the linkages and put more gearbox oil in - why do that if they couldn't demonstrate any fault? Anyway, I have booked it back in for 2 days next mon & tues. Thanks for the replies, maybe it is a characteristic of the box...
Get one of these trims - I did, they are designed to fit the 2 x pipes on the standard audi backbox, no need to cut the bumper it sits just underneath.

Any tips on removing watermarks, I had a bunch of flowers on the front seat and they have left a wet patch which I thought would just dry out as it was only water but its left a ring - my seats are the cream colour.
Thanks
Hi Guys,
I have read a few posts on this and my car crunches on changing from 1st to second. It happens if you change gear quickly. If you change slowly it is fine. My car has 48K on the clock. I have a warranty with the car, took it back and 2 x "mechanics" said they couldn't get the gears to...
Just been down to Audi where they powered up the dials and they are showing 15 000 miles, my car is 49 000 miles so they have refused to fit them point blank. So if anyone wants to buy a 2003 cluster with white dials fully working please pm me!
Hi Guys
I have bought a white dial instrument cluster and Audi want 1.5 hours to fit it, which I havent got much choice about as it has to be reprogrammed to the immobiliser. However Adui have said they cannot adjust the mileage so it will read whatever is on the clocks that are fitted!! Where...
Why not buy a used 911 with Porsche warranty?? You can extend it until its 10 years old, c£900 a year, haggle it off the price if it hasn't got it already.
I chose the Tip because it was what I wanted. It took a lot of searching for too and I had to travel up to Glasgow from Sheffield for it. I love automatics and the Porsche is a dream. I have a Basalt Black C2 3.4
Do a search on reliability before you buy.The extended warranty is expensive - from memory it is around £1000 (same as Porsche) but with Porsche you dont have to pay an excess on any claim whereas with BMW M3 you do. I personally think BMW coupes have a bad image but that is just my opinion -...
Ive got a 911 996 TIP and I love it I saved for years to buy it. I also let the spoiler come up on its own at 75mph and dont drive at 15mph and pop it up with the switch.
10% + 2mph is an urban myth, I g0t done at 78 by a speed camera van on the hard shoulder of the M180, didn't even worry at the time when I went past then the NIP arrived. When I disputed it I was told to be clocked at 78 my speedo would have been showing at least 80 so get stuffed basically...
Clocking should have shown on the HPI check as they cross check with the national mileage register or whatever its called - I avoided buying a clocked peugeot this way. Sound more to me like cloning??
