Well driving to work today, when my steering goes heavy, batt light comes on.., so pulls over pops the bonnet, the serpentine belt has sheared!! Eeek , no worries.. so gets a tow to the garage, (very hairy as had no brakes or power steering!!) so left it with garage, gets a call an hour ago...

Just picked my car up from my local garage (h.g evans in harlow) they fitted a cambelt kit, new water pump and auxillary belts for £316.09 all in:respekt: for a 99 tdi avant.. ****** happy days i thought as he said it would cost near to £400... The stealers wanted £482 :wtf:

just bought a 1999 a4 avant but need to replace or check the front door speakers as they aren't working. how easy is it to remove the door panel i can see 2 screws at the top of the panel in the corners and one in the door pull bit, is that it,coz i dont want to start prising bits off looking...
