clutch sluipping on Chipped A4 PD130

Does anyoine know if this is a common problem? I am sure I have heard about it before. The car has nearly done 40000 miles now, and although clutch perect in traffic (i don't ride it at all), if you accelerate hard, the revs will go up and then come back down before gear engages which to be...

    A4 TDI 130 Oil Consumption

Hello, I have the same model car as you (saloon) and do several miles a year. Its over a year old now, and up until the first service I had to throw in just over bottle of oil (think it is about a litre a bottle). Now I am coming up to my second service I have used about the same, but this...

remaped my PD130 ... oh my god :)

18ME Forgot to include MPG figures. I reckon I am achieving on average around 43MPG, but as stated that it is at the 3 figure speed mark. I did manage nearly 700 miles when my other half drove 250 miles at 70 in it so I reckon that must up it to around 50?? Obviously being a Quattro will sap...

remaped my PD130 ... oh my god :)

18ME Regarding your post, apart from the fact that the turbo has cut out on high boost / high speed a couple of times and that it smokes a bit when being pushed (quite amusing to see), I have no issues with the map at all. In fact, my map has had the opposite effect in fuel economy. I have...

remaped my PD130 ... oh my god :)

Wando I have read all the posts, worried myself and then wandered what to do about my map. The company that mapped it does an awful lot of remaps for large distribution companies, and he drives a PD130 himself which is similar to the map i have. He used to work for a company similar to yours i...

remaped my PD130 ... oh my god :)

I had mine mapped by a guy called chris john at simple performance solutions.... havent taken it on the rollers yet but it must be up around the 190bhp mark. The only problem is that at around 135mph on a standard air filter it goes into "limp home mode" and cuts the turbo out so have to pull...

    TDI TUNNING

I had a bromley unit (tunit) for my A4 PD130 and I was really impressed with it. Sold it recently for a remap which was even better. But the tunit is the best option unless you are planning on keeping the car as you can transfer it.

remaped my PD130 ... oh my god :)

after the remap what a difference... I cant help smiling every time I drive it. For a heavy 4WD car it goes like a rocket.. although when pedal to the floor it does smoke like hell... Definately worth the money. Would recommend a remap to anyone.

    ways of improving a PD130

thats ok, sold the Tuning Box straight away, and am having a remap this afternoon. Decided against the Revo upgrade in the end (on advice) as this guy apparently is fantastic and reckons he can do the job as well all be it not quite so flash. Time will tell although if im not happy he will...

Can you get tuning boxes for SAME tractors??

I know this is way off Cars, but have been looking to "improve" on the output of one of my fathers tractors, and am thinking there must be a way / person selling these to improve power / torque. The tractor is only 1 year old. Anyone got any contacts for me? by the way.... SAME / Lamborghini...

    ways of improving a PD130

Arson Panda would be interested to know more about your car... what has been done / how much etc. I havent put mine on the rollers so dont know what it isproducing with the tuning box.... was told about 160-170, it certainly is lively but always keen to try something else. please mail me...

    ways of improving a PD130

John I know what you mean. I had a 2 imprezas, the last a chipped WRX .... loved everything but the cost of running it with the mileage I am doing. Have been scouting around looking at getting another, but to be honest, my PD130 is certainly rapid on the move, and with a tuning box you cant...

    ways of improving a PD130

yes I agree. As with performance cars getting a bigger turbo means that it takes longer to spool up which means the advantages of lots of low down torque and the fuel gains associated with it are lost. I dont really need more power.. its more about making the most of what I have So exhausts...
