Add another AMI port or AMI splitter with switch

Hi, I have a 2009 S4 with the older version of the 3G nav system with the CD multi changer. I use the AMI to USB cable for music but also want to be able to connect my phone for music over Bluetooth. I have an AMI to Bluetooth adaptor on the way using the A2DP format (so yes the AMI sees it as...

Playing music from Microsoft Groove Music on iPod through MMI

Is that with an iPhone and the bluetooth adaptor in the MMI or do you have the 3G MMI system?

Playing music from Microsoft Groove Music on iPod through MMI

Bit of a complex question this. I have a Microsoft Groove music account that lets me download and stream unlimited music. The content that is downloaded is DRMed unless I buy the music outside of the normal subscription fee. I want to be able to play this in my S4 and I can't download to a USB...

Fog light bulb fell out of holder and burned bumper after service work

Hi All, Long time since I posted in here but I have had a problem after some main dealer servicing. I had the fog light trim replaced on my S4 as it was broken when I bought it. After this happened a few weeks later a mechanic that was refurbishing my alloys noticed a burn mark below the fog...

Recommendations for alloy wheel refurb - Greenwich/London

Previous owner of my car didn't really look after the wheels properly and had a bodge fix done on the wheels with paint runs and all. Even let the tail pipes get to the point that they are now corroded - never mind - just have to save for a miltek system and remap. Anyway I have insurance on the...

S4 brakes on tracks - actually the ring

Thanks Scuffers, i totally understand what you are saying. I'll have my brakes checked for wear before i go and find out when the fluid was last changed etc, but i'm not going to upgrade the brakes. I'm going to treat the track like a country road. The only reason i was considering the brakes...

S4 brakes on tracks - actually the ring

Ahh, so you are saying is the disks are the weak point, makes sense now. Thing is, so long as the tiny brakes don't fade I'll be happy. I can work around brakes that aren't that powerful, so long as they are consistent.

S4 brakes on tracks - actually the ring

scoTTY, I fully appreciate that i won't be going flat out on the ring on my first visit, i plan on treating it like a one way country road. The only reason i want to strengthen the braking is that i have heard and seen S4s suffer with brake fade after only a few corners of heavy braking on that...

S4 brakes on tracks - actually the ring

How much did the RS5 brakes cope, i don't really want to go the whole hog and change the brake setup, just strengthen to give myself a bit more confidence

    Making Low Loading Difficult...

Or get a wheel clamp, less hassle than installing a security post but just as visible. I've actually got a disklock for my S4 as another visible deterent. Another great deterent is a fake (or if you can afford it) real CCTV camera overlooking your drive. If you don't have a burgler alarm, get...

S4 brakes on tracks - actually the ring

I'm heading to the ring in August on a stag do (thats my kind of stag do) but i've seen some footage from an S4 on the ring complaining of brake fade after only a short portion of the lap. So my question, has anybody else been to the ring in an S4, if so how where the brakes. Has anybody...

anyone go gym or works out regularly?

One thing you might want to try is the kind of workout reigime they used to train the actors for the film 300. Usually called the Spartan Warrior workout. There is a book you can get on Amazon (Spartan Warrior Workout: Get Action Movie Ripped in 30 Days: Amazon.co.uk: Dave Randolph: Books) that...

Where to buy the AMI Bluetooth adaptor

Tried that update but MMI says that this is not newer than the version on the MMI. Will have to look around and see if i can't find it somewhere on the net. Of course it might be that the bluetooth relay for IPod just won't work, i might never know.

Where to buy the AMI Bluetooth adaptor

It arrived, but not worky, is suppose that the AMI will still need the software update that comes with the kit. Anybody know where i might be able to get a copy of that software?

Where to buy the AMI Bluetooth adaptor

No but that sounds like a really good idea, to try for only £11. I do have an iPod cable for the AMI, just need to check it is the same format. However i suppose there could be many types of these things for the different connectors. Thanks craig

Where to buy the AMI Bluetooth adaptor

Hi all, I have a 2009 S4 with the 2G MMI and Audi Music Interface. I have the USB cable but want to be able to play music from my Zune on my windows phone over Bluetooth. The only place i can get it is in the US but with $140 delivery charges! Failing that, is there anyother 3rd party product...

I might want to buy an S4... insurance costs?

Hello all. I'm currently in a situaton where my S3 might be written off due to it being stolen and the recovered in a bad condition. My GAP insurance should then kick in so i have a pot of money to play with (potentially at least). I'm of quite a mind set to got for a B7 S4 Avant. I've seen...

    Stolen, S3 2007 Chester area

Current estimates is £11k for repairs from a non audi dealer. Going to get an Audi quote and the same work should cost about £14k. I'll then insist on Audi repairs. Car probably only has market value of £18k - less given its a write off already maybee? I just wonder at what point the insurers...

    Stolen, S3 2007 Chester area

Well, and update for everyone interested. The car was recovered, in Helsby of all places, abandoned in a residential street. However it was painted black, (Sprint Blue being the original colour) badly). I've since spoken with the body shop and they seem to think the job will be massive...
