Yesterday I noticed an odd droning noise that's only audible around 2000 Revs. If I drive at 2000 revs it is constant but if I accelerate or decelerate it totally stops. Anybody got any ideas?

I was chatting to my mate last night who owns an S3 and we were discussing air filters. He was toying with the idea of fitting a Green Cotton replacement panel to the standard air box but I've always been under the impression that there's really no gain to be had as the standard paper filter...
